This is coming along, only a few weeks left. I neglected the plants and let them veg for too long which is why they're ridiculously tall. These are feminized "girl scout cookies", 2x250W HPS (actually it's running 1 HPS and 1 MH conversion bulb at the moment because my other HPS blew) plus a few LEDs. I just installed a magnetic latch for the cupboard so I don't have to lean a chair against it to keep it closed after I put sealing tape all around the edges for the 12/12 flowering cycle. Tried running the extractor fan which was a 200mm computer fan at 24V instead of 12V, it blew up overnight, so that was replaced with 3 80x38mm delta computer fans, super powerful, loud, but keep the temp under 30 degrees.

Got the big beautiful carbon filter working wonders up the top. Got to make a new support to tie the buds to tonight, as well as upgrade the drainage system because it keeps spilling over. Goddam farming's a lot of work.
Now, I'm in New Zealand and we have a referendum in September about whether to legalise, so that affects what I might have to do. You see if they legalise then there's no point spending much time or money on the setup as the profit margins will disappear. But if we don't then there are a few more upgrades to do, can make a much better reflector for the lights and add some 4 ft long fluoros and some more LEDs, can add a fan mover that'll move the fan constantly back and forwards instead of me just moving its position once each day like I do at the moment. And if it stays illegal for a few years I might have to l2hydro

What's with the calmag, I thought it was only needed for people who use coir as it retains calcium and magnesium. I do actually have a bit of coir in my soil mixture, thought I thought I should get some calmag but hadn't bothered yet

Calmag leaches put of coco fast. Youll notice yellowing from top down instead if bottom up like N def. If your plants are borderline getting burnt tips, the more deficient they are the quickly your tops are going to burn. Id be careful about the light intensity the last week. Not gonna really make a difference for weight anyway.

why aren’t you deleafing your plants? you only need the crown for each flower. everything else is wasting food/blocking light. if you’re scared to take off too much just get rid of all the big ass fan leaves that aren’t attached to/near buds. work in cultivation department for marijuana company in California

I read about doing that but I also read that weed reabsorbs nutrients from lower leaves during flowering, which is why they turn yellow and drop off, so I thought... just leave them on and let them die? You reckon it's better, I could whip them off any time.

No room, it's a 125x50cm cupboard, I can fit in a 6x2 grid of buds for 12 colas, one every 20-25cm, and no more.
I wasn't sure about the spacing of my setup, is one cola in a 20x25cm rectangle overly cluttered or sparse, if anyone knows? Optimal for my setup is 6 plants with 2 main stems each, or 3 plants with 4 main stems each. This time I actually had 7 plants, the two plants at the left end just have a single stem. I'm hoping to get 6 plants in my next batch, I just started seeds of 10 nitro lemon haze, 3 og kush, and 2 northern storm auto, all feminised, but these seeds are a bit old and so far only two nitro lemon haze have come through.
What's your medium, is it a type of hydro?

I have 1 21 plant hydro grow at one place, 1 20 plant dirt at another. dirt fgrow harvests 2 plants every week, total averages 6-10 oz, hydro harvests every 49 days for a total of about 50 oz (low ceiling height cuts yields). been doing it 10 years, make...150? not really sure tbh

Hydro is the way to go. Easy to control PH and nute ppm's. I hate soil. You should use rapid start for seed soaking and durning the veg stage. That shit has made many of my seeds pop and grow a good tap root. Helps roots grow and the shit works great. Just a tip.
