Bands like Timeghoul were heavily sci-fi themed, it's not a sudden trend.
/meal/ was never enjoyable to begin with

It's never not a good reason to blast BT.
Why is all shit brickwalled nowadays
What did y'all think of Sigh's latest release, Heir to Despair? Two years passed, but I don't remember seeing many posts about it outside of people briefly commenting the album cover.
new releases today?
Don't know about today, but these guys dropped a new one last month and it's solid stuff.

We really need a petition or mass e-mail campaign demanding metal labels (or even the music industry in general) produce their albums with dynamic range in mind. This should have happened after Death Magnetic dropped, yet nothing has changed. Streaming services use ReplayGain on everything, so the loudness wars are already moot.
The only music that's still mixed/mastered well is prog rock, though that's usually just Steven Wilson remixing classic albums over and over.
A shit ton of great modern albums are taken down a peg by loud mastering. Kudos to that one guy on rutracker for restoring so many albums, but he shouldn't be the one fixing all the fuck-ups by supposed music industry professionals.
nothing good
New Havok album dropped last night. I don’t think it’s as good as the last album but I’ve still been enjoying it

Ok, what’s the first step? I’m sure I’m not the only one in the general that would participate.
It was good. I like how they leaned into the trad/heavy elements and less into anime shit.
Try these on for size

Getting the word out there and rallying more people to the cause, of course. Through every means necessary, be they Twitter, various Discord metal related servers, RYM etc. would be my guess.
Yeah, they do trad well, as seen on Gallows Gallery. I'm glad they're still rocking it out there and not giving a flying fuck.
good shit
Why do they take themselves so seriously?
Because they can.
do they? who cares. DsO is unanimously good
