what are the essential scales to learn? atm for lead I just do pentatonic/some blues thing, and the rest of the time just play the vocal melody of the song and come up with shit based around that

Basically the Standads are close to period correct specs
The Classic takes a 60s and updates it and the Traditional takes the 50s and updates it.
Also note the AA maple and the regular maple can sometimes be A and a half on either. It varies but that just means you can get less or more based on preference. See before you buy.
Lastly the Classic and Traditional tend to have ‘new’ finishes and the standard tend to have ‘old’ finishes. Aka the standards come in the same colors but slightly faded and aged and less bright.
Nothing is budget about a Classic. Was top of the line for a long time and saved Gibson in the 80s (slash)

I mean honestly I don't think they're crooked. Maybe the B slightly but looking at it in person it looks like it follows the curves of the headstock more than anything else.

next step is the major scale and it's modes
it's not that big of a step really. the Pentatonic basically outlines of the Major scale. All you're doing is adding 2 more notes
