Is Pierro scruffi (music critic) a homophobe?

What did he mean by this?

eye-ties are always like this

yes. i remember him saying something about gay people in the media too

Newsflash: nobody has to uncritically accept homosexuals and the outcome of their behavior.

Based and redpilled as per usual.

all meds are deeply homophobe and anti-feminist, it's the church's influence

How can I guy who needs others to translate his reviews from Italian to English be trusted to critique English language music at all? If this guy listens to any singer songwriter or lyric-driven music he flat out is not going to be understanding the context. hidden meanings and cultural references in the words.

Maybe you should read the rest of the article
scaruffi.com/politics/problems.html
Ik, where did I say he has too.

Scaruffi assumes that same sex couples are not fit to be parents because the natural family unit is a man and woman (or at least a clear cut mother-figure and father-figure, which a same-sex couple might struggle to define). It's possible he's correct, but I don't think there's any research on the subject and I doubt it could be done in an unbiased way in the current political climate.

hello peabrian: unlike amerilards, all europeans speak upwards of 4 languages (not including their mother tongue and english, obviously), he's completely fluent in english, more likely more fluent than you actually (being a published scientist), he just chooses to write his music reviews in italian because it's more efficient, this way he can crank out let's say 40 reviews a day instead of 30 (important when you review so much music like thim), and let someone else mistranslate his reviews for the lardbrains, who are barely worthy of the butchered translations anyway, so you're welcome

>My bias is towards the music, not the lyrics: it is called "rock music", not "rock literature". And there's a reason: as literature, it is worth very little. Even the greatest rock lyricists are, at best, mediocre poets. No surprise, therefore, that i rarely mention the lyrics of a song. The overall feeling is, in general, much more important than the literal message.

But of course, the amerimutt values lyrics above everything else, because he's so hopelessly retarded that he needs what the music is trying to convey spelled out for him.

I mean there is data. It shows no difference between homosexual parents and straight couples.
Here is a metanalysis on the emotional welbeing and sexual orientation of children
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9010824

It is usually the class of the parents that effects the child.

fuck off back to work scaruffi

>Completely fluent
Fluency doesn't translate to a deep understanding cultural intricacies. English language music is rich with references to things like the KJV, English/American poetry, old folk songs, the sorts of sayings and phrases that you can only get a handle on growing up in a given country or at least living there for a number of decades. There's no way this dude would be able to understand an album like Springsteens Nebraska because he's some italian schlob not a midwestern american with that particular set of experiences and sensibilities.

>THE LYRICS BROOOO THE LYRICSSSSSS
>THE MOST IMPORTANT PART ABOUT MUSIC IS THE SOLE NON MUSICAL ASPECT OF ITTTTTT

Attached: ameritrad2.jpg (763x809, 58.91K)

You understand that songs come from the tradition of oral history/storeytelling right? It is literally the most fundamental part of that variety of music.

I guarantee you that, as a life-experienced european intellectual savant, there's no possible degree of """"""""intricacy"""""""" produced by your deeply commercialized, bastardized and finally infantilized society in the past 70 years that would be lost on scaruffi

>two years later Springsteen doubles back and records Nebraska, in the most ascetic style of folk (guitar and harmonica), an homage to his background and an opportunity to redress his vocal chords. His cold street ballads are sung mutedly (Highway Patrolman) with hints of Guthrie, of dust and sweat, of American Graffiti and of the beat generation. Nostalgic rhetoric propagates stories of history, drama, desolation and jail (Nebraska) which deviate from the grit and enthusiasm that have marked all previous endeavors of the hero. The unifying theme is the struggle to survive in the age of Reaganomics. The most compelling ballads are those (Johnny 99, State Trooper, and the masterpiece, Open All Night) punctuated by an accentuated rhythm that puts on a neurotic and hallucinatory air to the moral scenery of the stories of failure. Nebraska is a sullen and haunting record, which presents the point of view of the working class, powerless victims of moral indignities.

6.5/10

He elaborates on it here.

> "why is it anathema to raise issues about gay marriage when it is ok to have all sorts of discriminations against all sorts of categories?"

okay doesn't justify being against gay people.

>Second, if we have to expand the definition of marriage, why only expand it to homosexuals?

Again how is this an argument against homosexuals

>The homosexual lobbies are so powerful in the USA that they are even distorting history to prove their points. Sometimes i feel there is an odd conspiracy theory not only to prove that homosexuality is "natural" (which is weird enough for anybody who has a biological definition of "natural") but even that everybody should become gay.

This guy is just nuts

>okay doesn't justify being against gay people.
What makes you think he is? On those two pages he also says
>The argument that i keep hearing is that there are many same-sex couples who are better parents than straight couples. I have no problem believing it (and personally know two of them).
>i have friends who are gay, some of the smartest people are gay.
>That said, when i discuss societies in which homosexuals are persecuted (which includes the Western societies until the 1970s) i take the opposite side.

His concerns about gay parents are perfectly legitimate, too bad discussing such matters tends to just lead to shitflinging between "HOMOPHOBIC BIGOTS!!!" and "DEGENERATE SODOMITES!!!"

Americas greatest issues are also their greatest assets. It's a consequence of their freedom that too many countries, mine included, don't have. The reason they are so successful is because their population can never socially stagnate by design. I would be an American right now if not for this lousy quarantine. God help me escape my Slavic shithole

Seethe harder fag

This is Zig Forums not /lgtb/, go cry about your social issues elsewhere

This.
You just proved his point.

Sounds like a closet case.

>g the most crime-prone youth in the world.
Most of these crimes aren't rape and murder, just drinking, doing pot, mild vandalism and the other things that kids have done since we climbed down the tress. Boomers in an effort to outdo themselves in having the cleanest and well ordered generation ever, suddenly declared these "Crimes" and put them in the record books, inflating the statistics. I am sure that in part lead up to the over vigilant, over controlling and over reaching goverment you had even before the pandemic broke out.

>Boomers in an effort to outdo themselves in having the cleanest and well ordered generation ever
That's not even true. The youth today are actually tame as fuck compared to Boomers to gen Xers. Then again that article was written in 2004

Whatever generation it is, point stands.

He said he was against gay marriage not just parents.
Even then Data shows there is nothing wrong with gay parents.

boomers are abject hypocrites

no they don't no it's not
