King Crimson and Polvo for zoomers

so It deserves the hate because of that?
tho I haven't seen too much hate around it op

they're industry plants. rock albums just do not get the type of hype they got leading up to the release in 2019. it's just not believable.

i think it’s really good, can’t wait for more

they got signed by speedy? and in that way got popular? don’t see how that makes them industry plants

ok seriously, what the FUCK was his endgame

first it was slint for zoomers
then it was pere ubu for zoomers
then it was the foals for zoomers
you faggots never have anything originally say
you're right it isn't believable, but media like pitchfork can elevate literally any artist they want to for any reason they choose.

>but media like pitchfork can elevate literally any artist they want to for any reason they choose.
such as money from the label or band

i need more from them

Besides this, they only have two other songs.

king crimson and polvo are not math rock, and just because it's recent it's for zoomers?

Umm actually there are four other songs not featured on Schlagenheim that has been studio recorded

They're great and i can't wait to hear more from them

it was good, I just didn't reallt get the vocals, but the album is pretty solid

>Polvo isn't math rock
uhhhh excuse me?

I don't know about all the "Polvo for zoomers" identity politics you all are getting in, but I liked it. It was like a noisey, synthy rock album with actual riffage.

First song is groovy

Clearly art school bs. Is why. Also the vocal performances.

It was a good album, the KEXP session was particularly strong. They're an awkward band to like at the moment as there are so many artists that started off as they have and fell off a cliff early into their career (or otherwise fell of the map). I feel people are more anxious when it comes to thinking about the band as whilst they do clearly have talent and potential they could so easily go overboard and likewise shy away from success when they're clearly heavily influenced by older bands in the indie scene.

They sound nothing like either, if anything the guitar interplay is somewhat reminiscent of Sonic Youth albeit without nearly as much feedback and the polyrythms seem to take more from Talking Heads than math rock.

to move with a purpose

As long as they keep their drummer not much can go wrong

they have a bunch of live albums, raw mixes and demos, there's 4 non-album tracks and at least 5 new songs which haven't been recorded yet.

It's not sold album, it's great album, only fags and women would disagree

>band name black midi
>genre isn't black midi at all
this always bothered me

It’s because the guy’s voice is stupid. Other than that pretty good experimental rock imo, some of tge best to come out in the last 5 years. But god damn, it really feels like the singer is just trolling you.

the vocals are fucking insufferable

it grows on you after some time

Can we take a moment to talk about how good their drummer is ? Haven’t heard some that good in a while
