it really wasn't up to him a lot of the time. it was just that his show was way smaller than snl or leno or competitors like letterman so it meant that the lesser known major label acts got slotted on his show.

This version feels a bit rushed
never got how they were able to pull off the squalls of noise here on Letterman. They must have mixed the volume down low for the audience or something?
