Anyone got an East Coast/DC equivalent of these
Any particular area on the east coast? All of these albums have NY bands on them, but that's why I'm asking ppl for moar bro.
Woops, I didn't see you mention D.C. I'll post some D.C. stuff too, pic related.

Pic related, moar D.C. hardcore.

Hey, I got a 12" ome of those. Not sure if it's legit, but it definitely sounds cleaner than the Some Old Bullshit CD. Pretty sure the band had to use a vinyl rip for that release. Meanwhile, Southern Records in the UK was able to press this bad boy and make it sound as great and shitty as it should.

Have you ever heard this? Years after they already conquered the rap world and while they were riding their peak of popularity in 1995, the Beastie Boys went back to their roots and released another solid pure punk record. It's an underappreciated comeback.
Cool recs, thanks man
Been a while, but I've heard it. I wish they banged out a second NYHC record while they were younger, because I remember that EP kind of dragging at times. I need to hear it again to see if I'm wrong.
I don't have a chart, but check out bands from Boston. Pic related is one of the earliest records from that scene and the vocalist went on to form Slapshot. There's a comp out there called This Is Boston, Not L.A. which will give you a good start. The F.U.'s are probably my favorite Boston hardcore band.
I highly recommend this record if you like any weird crazy hard stuff. But yeah, Dischord Records should pretty much have you covered as far as D.C. stuff goes.
>I wish they banged out a second NYHC record while they were younger
Likewise.
>because I remember that EP kind of dragging at times.
Yeah, it does drag a bit but still better than a lot of other stuff from 1995.
>Pic related is one of the earliest records from that scene and the vocalist went on to form Slapshot.
Choke is a legend. Negative FX, Slapshot, and Stars And Stripes are all pretty damn good.
>The F.U.'s are probably my favorite Boston hardcore band.
FU's are definitely near the top, but Cancerous Growth is a band from western Mass. and might be my favorite.
Enjoy these guys while you can, because they're likely about to get cancelled.

I'll keep an eye out for Cancerous Growth. I don't know east coast bands as well as I should.

I like how the slow build in the first song takes up half of the track's runtime.
