Not a Zig Forumsfag, but I'm having a hard time deciding between iTunes and Spotify. Which one's better according to your experiences? I don't listen to podcasts etc., just music.

>streaming platforms
first mistake

They're basically the same thing, there are very few exclusives and you can just download the ones that aren't on your service. Piracy is a service issue, after all.

Spotify if you have a PS4

i use both, i prefer spotify because more of my friends have it so it's easier to connect with them
also spotify accounts are easier to crack than apple music ones

this. use bandcamp or soulseek

I don't, I have an iphone and windows PC, that's what I'll use it on
I forgot to add that I don't care about the social aspects.

what do you care about?

I use spotify, because with adblock you get no ads even on free acc

iTunes to feed favorite artists. Spotify to listen to normie music.

sound quality, playlist management, not clustered enviroment, finding new music for me based on what I listen

unironically Tidal for large selection, good UI, paying artists more

>sound quality
they're the same, tidal has flac-level streaming though
>playlist management
apple music
>not clustered enviroment
apple music is better but spotify isn't bad, try the trial before committing
>finding new music for me based on what I listen
spotify

based and tidalpilled

i used itunes for quite a long time, but i prefer spotify. itunes stopped recommending me shit i haven't listened to.

You think you're clever don't you, Apple shill

HEY SPOTIFY WHY THE FUCK DONT YOU DEDICATE A TAB TO MY ENTIRE LISTENING HISTORY SINCE OPENING THE APP, SO I CAN RELISTEN TO OLD ALBUMS AND TRACKS I FORGOT, INSTEAD OF ONLY SHOWING THE RECENT LIKE LAST 10 ALBUMS OR SO FUCKING BRAIN DEAD EXECUTOVE APP DEVELOPERS MININON MONKEY TIER TECHNOLOGICAL DEGENERACY YOU PISS ME OFF SO MUCH FUCK SAKES, ENTIRE LSITENING HISTORY NOW MAKE IT OR ILL REVIVE STEVE AMD HELL MAKE YOU

>streaming services
zoomer check

Just make a last.fm account

I only have Apple Music because I like a lot of their radio shows like Time Crisis and Rocket Hour

you again!? Is this an app or a seperate streaming service

and also no offense but fuck you, i want spotify to own to thier stupidity, i dont want to have to do work for them, stupid fucks should know this, im gunna leave them once my sub expires fuck they are stupid

it's a website/app, you can connect it to spotify or whatever and it'll log what you listen to

but what about ALL my past listens will it bring up those? cuz fuck thatbif its just starting from now

nah, last.fm doesnt bring old shit back. you might as well start now though user.

fml

I'm pretty sure it does? I don't use streaming but I've been seeing a lot of brand new last.fm accounts with thousands of scrobbles from spotify. I know it imports all your listens from regular music players like iTunes.

I use spotify but I do my own research and 8/10 they have the artist im looking for but these platforms are VERY limited when it comes to weird releases. Some rappers that I like have all their good shit elsewhere. I think at the end of the day unless youre taylor swift or something you dont really make moola on these platforms. I could be wrong, just a hunch.

But if you love sifting through ancient blues albums and early rock and roll like I do, the
" good stuff " is mostly there.

worth it.

even old ones?

why? I use spotify and it's great, also I spent hundreds on iTunes in the 2000s. Do you guys just pirate everything?

I mean, I could pirate everything too, but I have a job so I don't bother.

if you get soulseek youll be able to download mp3s and flacs for free its very easy to use and you wont be limited by the extremely narrow scope of streaming services

but no one ever does this for some reason so you might as well do apple music since its nicer to look at

Yeah I agree, Spotify is convenient for everything except for obscure releases. And by obscure albums I mean albums that non-enthusiasts have never heard of and will never care to find.
