all the old sam hyde, thankscomputer, mde videos and graphics are very inspired by 00s adult swim. even the graphics for world peace and hwd are obviously influenced by adult swim.
Sam's comedic style is very obviously informed by Tim and Eric which is kind of sad that in the end they'd play a big part in getting his show canned. He was obviously a massive fanboy.
If you don't know about the show cancellation, basically mde had an adult swim show for one season and a few guys at adult swim (namely tim and eric) campaigned to get the show cancelled because of Sam's overtly racist and offensive twitter posting. Sam took the stance of saying he his videos were only satire and that it was slander but imo his videos or the show itself were never the problem he's just a massive liability for any tv network bc he's such a manchild and can't keep his politics to himself.
as a result all the mde boys are blacklisted from adult swim and besides andy ruse it's very unlikely any of them will work in the industry again.
