Anything remotely similar? specifically post-hardcore that has sections similar to the end of sinews and super unison

I miss that nigga like you wouldnt believe

I haven't been researching or listening to music seriously lately. So it's basically reruns unless you're new, unfortunately. I put 100 Watt Halo on recently after a rec in one of these threads. It's decent.

This is good and makes sense, but I already have it in my Unwound chart so I feel embarrassed. Plus, it has a few great songs, but nothing really mindblowing on the rest, so I would feel weird advertising it so much.

As usual, open to other recs.

post your unwound chart?

listening to their debut, this is pretty sick.

It's got albums that carry strands or roots from all the different phases. I didn't organize it. If you have a favorite album I could point you to something close.

I need to refresh my memory some more, but it's prob going on the chart.

No one ever talks about Voivod in this context but listen to Voivod. They took a lot from angular post-hardcore like Die Kreuzen.

hey did u end up getting the other logcabin albums? do you know if pervolater have them?

reposting my comment from elsewhere

sleepytime trio, engine down, mohinder, stop it!!, malady, slint, polvo, polar goldie cats, the plan, faraquet, dream decay, drive like jehu, fugazi, nirvana, shotmaker, frodus, the jesus lizard are bands with similar sounds to unwound

I’ve never seen anyone post about stop it!! or Malady before. I really liked Stop It!! in high school and that Malady album is still awesome

I got the first one from Pervolator: "The Society LP": 5 years before "A Forest", completely different lineup. All instrumental. No synths, horns or really any studio intricacy. I just thought it was some jammy post-punk stuff: alright, but not very memorable. I could give you a link if you really want it. Last I heard Pervo didn't have the second LP or the split with Oma Yang that was even earlier than "Society", but they were on his wanted list.

My favorite Unwound album is New Plastic Ideas but Leaves is also uniquely cool. Both are 10s for sure

For NPI:
>Cars Get Crushed - Drag Explosive (not shown)
>Beekeeper - Human Torch 7"
>Arm - Universal Standard Time
>Lowercase - Kill The Lights
>The Great Unraveling - s/t
>Sonic Youth
>Nirvana

For LTIY:
>Loop - A Gilded Eternity
>Logcabin - A Forest
>A Day Called Zero - s/t

glad you liked, let me know if you have trouble finding smth.

Just checked his slsk: no other Logcabin

thanks

lmao this is so specific but thanks i've implicitly wanted a chart like this for more than half a decade

do you know anything similar to leaves turn inside you ?

The Argument, Spiderland, but you already know that. Maybe Smart Went Crazy, circus lupus (an admitted influence on Vern Rumsey, he borrowed the lick for Kantina). As odd as it sounds, try early Queens of the stone age, Rated R and the early b sides might just scratch that itch, although with much less, let's say atmospherics.
