I need music that sounds like Crystal Castles, especially like (III).
I passionately hate that zoomer hip-hop trend that has popped up in the recent years and I need electronic or guitar music with a haunting, dark sound and a female vocalist to shelter myself into mid-2010's forever in a warm, comfy snuggle.

Good stuff, listened to it, thank you man
Thanks, saved that list, will go through it at one point
will do
Yea they are really good, gave them a listen, but it's a bit annoying that they perform in russian and I can't quite understand their songs.
Jackson Bell
why (III)? its literally just II but shit
Easton Russell
This is not true, (III) is the best. You are just saying that because there are almost no hit singles from (III) and most CC fans haven't listened to (II) enough to get tired of it.

Ladytron

It reminds me that there was a thread once where some autistic user wanted to discuss Ladytron and out of nowhere, a bunch of anons started trolling him and dissing Ladytron, which caused OP to have a mental breakdown, and it fuelled the trolls and they kept shitting on Ladytron and watched OP get more and more desperate at defending Ladytron. It was a very surreal thread, because people got so emotional over just some moderately popular UK edm artist.
Austin Rodriguez
That's sad. I like her, maybe not her whole albums, but she produced some real gems.
Jordan Turner
It was just something I had in mind if somebody mentions Ladytron, but it doesn't mean much, Zig Forums has all sorts of people who are not right in the head. Yea otherwise they are generally considered to be a very decent collective.
>bit annoying that they perform in russian and I can't quite understand their songs. It's good tho, you won't be annoyed by the political message
Nolan Garcia
Great stuff, I remembered that I listened to them few months ago but lost track, now I found them again thanks to you :)
gecs is not my cup of tea, listened to Hannah Diamond, it's not really what I was looking for, but in it's own guilty pleasure way, I even kind of like it
pretty cool, pretty close to what I had in mind
It reminds me of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World soundtrack, which is a good thing. Nice stuff, I like it, really intense too.
Thomas Lee
But Putin legitimately deserves criticism tho.
I've listened to them for a long time, and I just googled they put out a new album. Sweet, I have to check that out at one point.
Not the person you were replying to but, yes, I believe CC is not very intense, especially compared to today. Alice's vocal performances and the sound design and production can be loud and harsh, but from a *musical* sense it's not really that intense. You can listen to a track like that or Doe Deer, and I still like them and the distortion is cool and all that, but you're only getting intensity across certain superficial dimensions and not others.
I used to be a massive CC fan back around 2010 - they were probably the first music group I really got into - but later acts like Death Grips and 100 gecs eventually scratched that itch even better for me, because they're not only timbrally intense, they're actually musically and compositionally intense. And I just like the music more.
Julian Rivera
It's weird, because I have listened to both gecs and death grips and I have never quite acquired the taste for any of them. I don't mind that you like those acts, but I am not quite there yet to find anything about them to like. I mean I would kinda get death grips if I tried, but as for gecs, they feel very random and too zoomer post-ironic for my like.
