If you don't have much money and just want to try it out and fuck around just get a cheapo controller like the DDJSB2. If you have a bit more money to spend and want to actually play gigs at some point you're better off saving up for some proper CDJs as it's better to familiarise yourself with industry standard gear. The top range ones are insanely expensive but you can often find people selling a pair of older model CDJs with a mixer for a few hundred pounds. Look on gumtree and facebook groups

I kinda feel like acid is the high point of electro. The phasing effect sounds like mongolian throat singing or like wind rushing by. Organic noises. It sounds so bonechilling. However, I dont know too much good acid artists. I remember in 2013 pop on acid and molly were pretty sick acid songs. Right now the only one that really catches my fancy is This is Acid by Mark Blair. It has a really insane acid drop.
