It was never that good. The early episodes were fun because they had whacky space adventures, but then they tried really hard to be smart and deep. And it just came off as Reddit-tier nihilism.

For me it just stopped being funny after the season 3 pilot. I don't know what to blame but I dropped it maybe 6-7 episodes in. Bushland Adventures was genuinely more funny to me

Apparently Harmon had a death grip over S3 and pushed for more edgy nihilism, meta trope shit and family drama.

Building of an ethical continuity, then abandoning it entirely in the span of a single episode. In other words, Season 3.

Bushland Adventures is actually great. It doesn't take itself seriously at all and fully embraces the spirit of what Rick and Morty was supposed to be.

It got popular. I get that's the point of it, but Rick and Morty seem to have a hatred of living up to the hype and rather just throw jokes directly at their audience.

Rick got boring. His obvious weakness is obvious but never exploited. The "genius" is reliant on his eyes and then making deductions on what he sees in front of him. This makes him vulnerable to any diversion carried out beyond his line of sight.

I.e outsmarting Rick is easy. You do something low-key far away from him and keep him focused on your big flashy scheme, counting on his eyes to fixate on the imminent threat.

Season 4 was great, Zig Forums only spergs about the show because of the awful fans and "muh female writers"

fans went a liiiitle overboard with believing that they are also intellectuals just because they believe to be nihilistic but in the wrong sense of definition and because they love to get wasted like rick and then the show simply didn't took itself seriously and now wastes a season of nothing saving the season finale with le epic fighting scenes

What are your talking about. Yeah season 4 was better than S3, but it still mostly sucked. Specially that dragon fantasy episode.
