Lmao RIP Kamp Koral
Just cancel it, it spits on Hillenburg's legacy.
Hillenburger approved of it
Not the spinoff
>All the new series are moving to big streaming services.
>Meanwhile, the TV Channels become a wasteland of rerunning the same 3-4 shows endlessly.
GEE, I WONDER WHY CABLE TV IS DYING.
PRESS S TO SPIT ON KAMP KORAL
They accepted tv is dying, the last shows coming out are to transition to the streaming services
Soon tv will just be 100% reruns of binged spam shows until they no longer make any revenue from commercials or carriage fees and drop the channel completely
It'll be interesting to see what cable TV looks like 10 years from now. It was still pretty good in 2010, on variety alone, but channels would rather air the same shows a million times when the same shows can already be watched on streaming services at any time. If TV is dying, at least get creative with the schedule and offer shows that are rare to find on streaming services, show a variety of them. Now every channel is airing marathons of the same 3-4 shows every fucking day. It's fucking depressing.
> Couldn't even get onto Netflix
OH NONONO
based
Big companies are distancing from Netflix by making their own streaming services. Disney Plus, HBOX Max, CBS All Access, Peacock to name a few. They only went to Netflix in the past because they didn't have their own and now that they do, they don't need Netflix anymore.
If the providers let you do cable a la carte they might survive.
The Squidward spinoff special is on Netflix
Only because they're contractually obligated and made the agreement before CBS All Access was a thing. Once the contracts end they'll go to CBS All Access as well.
time to put on pirate hat again
NOOOOOOOOOOO NOT MUH SACRED SPONGEBOB YOU CANT MAKE SPINOFFS OF THIS TIRED OVERPLAYED IP NOOOOOOOOOO
To be fair, theres just tons of red tape, licenses, and regulations around TV. Jumping through a bunch of hoops just to get a show to air on tv probably just isn't worth the hassle these days.
In the UK, Disney pulled the plug on its channels and is making everyone subscribe to Disney+. I imagine the same thing will happen to all the kids channels within the next 3-4 years.
Having grown up with those channels in the 90's, that's depressing as fuck to think. Sure the channels suck now with their endless reruns of the same shows, but they're still up and running in the US. The thought of them going away forever makes me sad, but I'm sure it's gonna happen sometime in my life, probably before the next decade.
well that's one way to get kids on your streaming service that no one heard of
>Check his Twitter
>Literally 100 million posts bitching about Funny Orange Man
>Occasional smooth brain take on Spongebob characterization
What a miserable person.
Didnt Nickelodeon made a deal with Netflix? And why CBS? Im not Muttrican, but isnt CBS some minor shit & Star Trek? I dont think parent will ever make a month subscription for just a shitty spin off. If kids want Sponge Bob, parents will just put SpongeBob, or any spinoff that is in the same streaming service.
What were Nick thinking?
Isn't Viacom under the CBS umbrella now?
CBS is owned by Viacom which also owns Nickelodeon so it's all the same company. I speculate the thought process is that they might as well put the stuff they own into their streaming service.
But nobody wants CBS All Access
I don’t get it though. Tv is great. I like watching things live or as they air.
If tv truly does die, then we’ll start seeing commercials in streaming services.
Don’t watch how the Italian channels hit down
Didn’t even give it a grand farewell, they cut the stream during the middle of a Mickey Mouse 13 short for a channel that aired 22 years
If we’re lucky the US and maybe UK channel will get a farewell message
>If tv truly does die, then we’ll start seeing commercials in streaming services.
That's already kind of happening. Hulu and CW have commercials out the asshole.
Sounds like they just flipped the switch from "on" to "off" at a random time not giving a fuck if anyone was watching it then. That's probably how the US stations will go, just shut down without notice at a random time.
Lol just get the 7 day free trial of CBS All Access
>cable dies
>streaming becomes exactly like cable
10 years absolute tops.
