Or one lie and the magic starts reverting back. The prince was getting to know her, but she can't lie to hide her true identity.

The Blue Fairy seems to operate on a more hands-off approach with the occasional mulligan when you've learned your lesson. She'd probably influence events to catch the prince's attention to Cinderella, get her out of being locked up, or fixing the patchwork dress.
Fairy Godmother would probably just turn Pinocchio into a real boy until midnight and peace out.

What lessons do you suppose Cinderella would need to learn? I feel the Blue Fairy would want her to learn and earn her freedom from her home. However, it seems like she doesn't have much to learn.
Pinocchio would have it sad in that matter. Unless he's left with something after the fact to inspire him to become a real boy even more.
