It's hard to think of a Marvel character more fucked than Jessica Drew, second only to maybe Tigra. What the hell is Marvel even trying to do with her anymore besides get mileage out of the "Spider" brand name Peter has worked so hard to establish. Remove baby. Have her be the new Nick Fury. She has been around the spy game to go quintuple agent with the best of them, and she is through being a pawn and is ready to play at the big table. A grizzled jaded Spider-Woman without a country. Spy adventures for her in her book. Shadowy morally questionable for the greater good appearances in other books.
Carol can tell her she doesn't even know her anymore after Jess uses their friendship to complete an operation, without informing Carol of the true details.
