Steve Rogers: Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?
do you guys find it weird how huge budget entertainment, funded by billionaires, train us to think of billionaires as heroes? just kind of a weird thought haha
Trips of truth, I'm surprised they didn't turn Tony into one of God's chosen
Not only that, this is a series that shows us all the ill effects of Tony's wealth and power, and how someone with all the resources he has at his disposal can make decisions that hurt thousands of people, and then still ends his arc with the insistence that he's a hero, he's the only one who can save humanity, because of his resources he gets to keep and his brilliant scientist billionaire mind that can make time travel and an infinity gauntlet, and his selflessness despite all the wealth he's hoarded in saving all us normal humans.
At least T'Challa had to grapple with the flaws of his father in
Black Panther and come to his own belief system to move forward. Peter Parker is confronted with a "monster of (Stark's) own making" in FFH, and nothing comes of it when Peter gets the glasses back. He keeps the secret spy murder drones around and just sends them back into space, and never does the film seriously critique that Tony even made something like that.
Why should I care? Iron Man and Batman are awesome
low iq post.
>t.one of the Chosen People
>Steve Rogers: I'm going to do blow with Jason Statham
>Tony Stark: I mentor Spider-Men
>Big man in those platform shoes, but take them away and what are you?
LARGE kek
>billionaire, playboy
I wonder who could be behind this post...
sup billionaire defense force
what's wrong with being a billionaire?
>The Jew cries out as he gets striked!
Going beyond the MCU the character of Tony Stark was conceived because Stan lee was trying to make a character that was the opposite of an underdog and a figure that people despised during the Vietname Era which was a rich billionaire weapons maker and try to make that figure into a hero. He managed to make it work not to mention Iron Man got a significant female following for (mostly because of the Tony, Pepper and Happy love triangle).
But yeah you won't get a "Fuck the rich" superhero in the big screen and the only one who is used to be a rich guy and they significantly tone him down.
Yeah and as someone who didn't give that much of a fuck about Tony Stark it was kind of annoying seeing how he took over the Avengers movies and how he got shoved into Cap 3 to the point we get to see Tony's mom in that movie and how her death affected him yet we never get to see Steve's own mother in his movies (and the only scene we have that's about her is the aftermath of her funeral and that scene was mostly about Bucky and Steve than about Steve and his mother).
tiny stank
Tony is the only billionaire in the MCU though, unless we count Black Panther and arguably Thor. Hulk, Black Widow, Hawk Eye, Captain America, Wanda, Ant Man, Spider-Man, all of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Falcon and Captain Marvel are all middle class or lower. You're literally complaining that, out of every super hero in the MCU, two of them are rich.
Iron Man is the most popular MCU character. Batman is the most popular DC character. Just something to think about.
Thor is a fucking god and literal royalty.
But he lost all of Asgard's money when Surtr and Hela fucked the world up. He lives in a cabin with five roommates playing FortNite. Probably doesn't even have a bank account.

Go Back to wherever you came from. most likely chapo
>Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
Implying any of that can help you win a fight, in fact you are more likely to get abducted by anyone who wants your money.
And yet Tony’s main villains in the MCU were rich businessmen. Not to mention Cross in Antman.
I noticed you didnt complain about Black Panther
>Steve Rogers: Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what will you do in a fight?
>Tony Stark: Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
Yeah that was a dumb answer to the question for sure.
I think it's stranger that huge budget entertainment, funded by billionaires, train us to think of objectivists as heroes.
good point. honestly it only encourages me to try to become JUST as rich to gain access to all the cool shit they can get. if anyone gets jealous that means you have no amibitous to even try.
Who got fucked due to trying to fuck with him, the more sucessful businessman.
Being a genius might help you win a fight, depending on the fight. Its not like strength is going to beat every supervillain.
