why The Boys TV show is so fucking bad and why do normies love it?
They already got renewed for the 3rd season expecting even more to come.
>season 2 episode titles:
>The Big Ride
>Proper Preparation and Planning
>Nothing Like It In The World
>Over The Hill With The Swords Of A Thousand Men
>We Gotta Go Now
>The Bloody Doors Off
>Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker
>What I Know
Literally what the fuck is wrong with jews from Amazon Prime? What's the point of naming episodes after comicbook arcs if they wont be related to those stories in any way?

Based song.

Yeah, it would've been based to hear during credits to the white house episode

>why do normies love it?
They saw superhero movies and the idea that superheros coul be horrible people seems foreign and strange to them.
Most of them probably only know its based on a comic because they saw an article about it.
The majority just doesnt really have much of a frame of reference and thus sees it as this brilliant sunversion of their favorite movies.

Still cant get over them making butcher a cuck

Based

Bad source material.

How do you think it will end?

I find, like most of Ennis’ work, Boys to be a masturbatory childish tantrum constantly measuring its cock against superhero comics as if it’s terrified of coming up short. It’s a boys violent fantasy, specifically the boy who see’s Batman or Superman and thinks they’re “lame” because they wear tights or cause they aren’t shooting people. Still it has its high points, and those high points are fucking top tier. Sadly it’s attached to a bunch of dumb kids shit. Seriously I have no idea why you’d actually like the Boys unless you just really think you’re the coolest kid and hate those faggots who like Spider-Man. The tv series fixes this by actually controlling its basest, vilest, saddest impulses. I’m wrong tho and probably a Redditfag or something, can’t wait to find out exactly what from whoever responds to this.

I'm enjoying it but never read the comics. I like gore and comedies and gory comedies.
So what makes it so bad?

>>Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker
What the FUCK are they going to show there?
We already know everything because the retards spoiled his backstory in season 1

Nice dubs. I'm not really a fan of the boys but personally I believe Garth Ennis just doesn't know how to further develop a character beyond the base, which is why characters like Frenchie have no character development despite being in the main cast, his work also suffers from too many flashbacks, with characters literally sitting down to tell you their whole life story rather than show the story bits by bits through the story and the actions of the character. The concept is good, but the show goes wrong due to the fact it's not exactly fixing what's wrong, it's just randomly changing elements in the hope it fixes the problems, which leads to really dumb things like cucking Butcher, gender-bending main characters, and rewriting characters completely, weirdly enough making them more grim and edgy than their usual selves in the comic.

You could've fixed the Ennis factor without killing the story in the process, all of those highpoints are now impossible to pull off in the show.

Dump it.

>Over The Hill With The Swords Of A Thousand Men and The Bloody Doors Off are in the middle of S2.
they're just retarded and the episodes will be nothing like the comics.

Has this been confirmed yet? She could have been forced into a relationship.

I like the original but I also like the show. They kinda flubbed the more serious parts of the comic with the changes but the new stuff they add is generally pretty good. The supes aren't mostly just one-note hedonists anymore and actually exist as characters with human emotions outside of Homelander who still works wonderfully thanks to his actor's performance. Updating the social commentary actually works for once too, shit like Starlight getting a vapid and empty "feminist" movie while the Deep getting thrown under the bus as a purely calculated move by Vought to keep their PR squeaky clean was hilarious. Things in general are less of a low-brow parody and more satire. Really, my main issues so far are that Butcher and MM are noticeably weaker than their comic counterparts and don't really have their time to shine. I actually like Frenchie, the Female, and Hughie though, they're also somewhat different but at least their differences serve an obvious purpose. I feel like Season 2 will make or break Butcher for me since he seems to be getting the spotlight this time around.

Like I said before, I still immensely enjoyed the comic warts and all but for once I'm sort of happy they went with the broadstrokes and did their own thing. Usually adaptions like this just end up being a shittier, more condensed version of the source material's story but here I feel like they do more than enough to justify the show's existence and changes. I came out pleasantly surprised, especially after my initial apprehension from seeing what Joe Rogan did to Preacher and hearing he was involved with this too.

How can this be an episode when his wife is still ALIVE

>Joe Rogan

Seth Rogan, you know what I meant. Both are unfunny retards.

Fucking this.

>weirdly enough making them more grim and edgy than their usual selves in the comic.
Not really, they feel like an adult but immature version of Guardians of the Galaxy. The comic version of them are obviously more edgy, but at least they had some genuine moments between each other.

Because normalfags think an edgy retard with superpowers is the scariest thing ever.

...

The only characters I liked in the show compared to the comics were The Deep, A-Train, and Homelander. The Boys in the show all feel downgraded compared to their comic counterparts and Stillwell is garbage. It sucks that Seth Roger is working on this and not someone like the guy who directed Kick Ass.

I also hate that for every brand new character they introduce that could be interesting, they kill them off immediately.

Eh, Stillwell was a bit of a miss but it's pretty obvious that Esposito's character is playing the character in all but name only. Why'd they genderbend him in the first place only to kill them off and replace them with a character who essentially fills the same role? Who knows. Hughie sort of grew on me. It sucks ass that Simon Pegg is way too old for the role but it was probably the smart idea to cast him as the dad and go in a different direction for Wee Hughie because anything else would have been a pale imitation. Frenchie and Female are another change I'm fine with since it's probably the best attempt to make them relatively realistic since they're both a bit too over the top for live action as is. Israeli FFL arms dealer Frenchie and failed false flag terrorist experiment Female work in the context of the show and bring their own stuff to the table.

>Stillwell was a bit of a miss but it's pretty obvious that Esposito's character is playing the character in all but name only.
They should have had him play Stillwell from the get go. They could have saved the character for season 2 but build him up in season 1.

Ehh, I would have preferred original comic Frenchie and Female but with a bit more depth. I know the “Festival of France” thing was sclok, but they could have still done Frenchie losing his pacifism and make him go full nihilistic and angry. As for Female, something feels off about the tv show version. Not her backstory, but quirkiness towards the end of the first season felt too out of place for me.

While we’re talking about character portrayals, why did they pussy out of Stormfront? Why not just make him a Nazi and portray him as a monster?

>They could have saved the character for season 2 but build him up in season 1.
As long as Edgar serves the same role as Stillwell I'm fine with it. Female Stillwell was good as long you ignored that she was a completely different character and with Edgar they seem to be rectifying it. Is it a bit convoluted if you read the comics? Sure. But in the grand scheme of things them doing the character in all but name is perfectly fine with me.
>Why not just make him a Nazi and portray him as a monster?
They're going the current era PR and capeshit angle, a character like Stormfront as is would never have worked. As much as I think the "Alt-Right" are a giant meme, they had the perfect opportunity to capitalize on some topical social commentary. I had no love for Stormfront as a character either (literally the only good parts werre a few cheap laughs and the "Allies stomp") so if they can pull a Deep on him/her and keep the political commentary to a manageable level I'll probably end up liking the change. The whole idea of the supes in the show is that they're human pieces of shit instead of some over the top parody and this Stormfront is indicative of that.
