Why didn't Ursa wake up Azula before she left, to tell her that she loved her and always would?
Why didn't Ursa wake up Azula before she left, to tell her that she loved her and always would?
Anyone else notice Avatar makes women characters horrible accidentally alot?
Expand upon your idea, user
Who's to say she didn't?
The comic
No, but that's just because I think women are horrible a lot.
its called equality, how dos it taste?
that would be a lie
>that would be a lie
The comics are not canon.
Wouldn't Azula probably rat her out?
Because it was important to her to wake up Zuko to tell him that everything she had to do was because she loved him and to cheer him up now that he was going to be alone. She had nothing to say to Azula and even if she felt that she had something to say as a goodbye it would be awkward for both
>"Bye Azula, i tried my best for you... i think. You're difficult. But take care anyways... although everything was more or less fine until you had to be born and damn the day you started to throw fire from your hands and mistreat my son... hm i got carried away, i meant to say bye child.
To whom? Her father already knew.
Seems like a bitch move to not say goodbye forever to your own daughter.
Rat her out for what?
If it's of any consolation, Azula 'doesn't really care'
Doesn't she, user?
Because she didn't love Azula. The show blatantly shows this
Fucking this. Ursa was a complete bitch to her daughter and thought she could replace her.
What do you mean, can you not feel the motherly love?
Because that comic retconned that she only talked to Zuko because she accidentally woke him up as she was doing the same to him.
These two panels infuriate me. Instead of being by her side and explaining why what she did was wrong she just got rid of her and comforted Zuko. Ursa is a swine and does not deserve being the mother of Azula.
To Azulon? Why? She gains from this arrangement as she already wanted Ozai to become Fire Lord.
I never realized how little Ursa showed care for her daughter until my rewatch.
Azulon is already dead
Well Zuko had just been injured, so he kind of needed to be comforted, and for them to be separated at the time. Sending your kid to their room when they misbehave is not abuse.
>Sending your kid to their room when they misbehave is not abuse.
No, but it's pretty poor parenting.
He was to be killed by Ozai using Ursa's poison that very night. Also, in that case, who would she be ratting to?
i know that. and i think youre wrong, ursa killed azulon before bailing. I'm on your side.
Show > comic retcon
How do you know that's not exactly what Azula needed?
>Zuko throws a piece of bread at a baby turtle duck, potentially killing it
>Gently admonishes him and then hugs him
>Azula burns a flower in a clear cry for attention
>"Fuck you doin' bitch? You keep this shit up and you're going to learn respect from the back of my hand"
pretty easily by watch the show and seeing how she turned out
This whole thread is about the comics canon, so it's a moot point.
Because Azula didn't understand why what she did was wrong.
You send a kid to his room to think about what they've done. If the kid earnestly believes he did nothing wrong, they'll learn nothing from it, and will only resent you.
You know, like Azula does towards Ursa.
It's not a multiverse though.
