Ah yeah that time when anime was good.

I miss it

A magical girl turning a normie sidekick's life upside down is a very old formula. Oficially started with Go Nagai's Majokko Tickle, a title so forgotten that not even Nagai may remember he was involved. It never catch up as other formats but it got some following like Ultra Maniac and arguably Maho Precure.

Nefcy looks too normalfag for Dai Majou Touge

Why did Osamu Tezuka rip off Disney so hard?

Why did Akira Toriyama rip off Superman so hard?

Tezuka did all the twisted shit Disney always wanted to but never could because puritans and the Hayes code. Tezuka even made gekigas and brought legitimacy to cartoons as a narrative tool while American cartoons are stuck on ghettos (kids ghetto, now twitter ghetto)

At least Toriyama likes Superman. Everybody seems to hate him nowadays. WB can't find a director for MoS2 because they all think Superman is lame.

With this logic ripoffs that aren't edgelords are excusable

She ripped off Minky Momo even more.

Yeah but right also had the whole “princess needing to prove herself on Earth while being a psychopath with wrestling moves in a genre deconstruction”

I doubt Nefcy was trying to "deconstruct" anything. In any case, Americans in general are obsessed over royalty and she was working for Disney. Also magical girls from magical kingdoms tend to be princesses because it's more appealing to the target demographic but they were in vogue before magical girls technically started, back then they were "majokko" but later were rebranded as mahou shoujo. Besides the commercial reasons, maybe there was a fairy tale influence or even the Disney movies

Star Vs. wishes it was 10% as good as Dai Mahou Touge.
At least Punie is evil on purpose, not because the writer is a retarded fuck who thinks genocide is a good idea.

as far as i remember her original idea was that it was all make belief in her head
so it's not as much genocide as just letting go of your lunacy and accepting to live in the real world
growing up basically, it's a metaphor for letting go of your kid side and looking at the real world, without magic and rainbows and unicorns

Do tell.

>Im gonna kashoot myself. This music is too catchy. AAAAA.
>(help if this gets blocked too oof)

They had the exact same premise.

Nefcy wasn’t responsible for SVTFOE, it was the executives who took her ideas and made something profitable out if it. Wanna know why there are so many shows that do the premise of magical princesses from another world? Because it sells.

Doubt.

Because shes a chuuni fuck

No they didn’t

gotta love how defensive and fragile Americans gets whenever they can't claim to have invented something.

Magical princess coming to Earth (read Japan) because reasons was done to death since Sally the Witch through all the 70s and until the early 80s

>Implying StarVs isn't Nefcy's Happiness Charge Precure fanfic

Does Star get killed by a toy truck in protest of the toy sponsor pulling out of the show due to merchandise sales?

>genocide
>bad
Why do you hate America, son?

When you show me the scene where a potato jumps into a boiling pot willingly in Star Vs, you can call Star a ripoff.

Healthcare costs.
Education costs.

That is the real story behind the truck scene?

Sounds like it happened

Hey I have a question!
Why do weebs complain about other weebs so much? Do you all hate each other?

Duh.
