Why don’t zoomers like webcomics...

Why don’t zoomers like webcomics? From shitty lol videogame comics to long story arcs webcomics were a huge thing on the internet fifteen to ten years ago but I never see kids/teens today talking about them.

YouTube

Faster internet speeds mean that even the poorest dumbfuck in the middle of nowhere can watch videos now, which has marginalized the popularity of comics.

I feel like I'm more of a Chug than a Shadow, what about you bros?

Are you retarded? Webtoons and webmanga are extremely popular among the youth. The issue is that western webcomics have stagnated. The number of worthwhile ongoings has fallen by a factor of twenty.

this. Webcomics have centralized, the days of going to different websites to read a single specific comic are fast coming to an end. It's like aviation. In it's early days you got radically different designs using different theories and materials to try and develop flight. Nowdays a specific formula has been found and now it's staring to standardize.

Manga isn’t comics.

Webcomic artists are the type to get deep into the social politics, even the normies among them. So most of the known ones are followed by packs of tranno-communists and some confused regular people.

It's a frequent transformation, See: Paranatural, Questionable Content, and the most nightmarish of them all, Homestuck.

webmanga is hardly manga

What the hell is that?

Zoomers like webcomics just fine. What they don't like are the independently hosted webcomics that you grew up with grandpa. That business model is almost dead, and unless an artist is weirdly committed to it or grandfathered in then they're going to post them to a platform that people are actually visiting.

Because webcomics are comics. Nobody reads comics.

Transpeople who blame capitalism for their problems because they imagine that under a communist society they will be provided sex change surgeries and estrogen pills for free, and the commissars will gulag anyone who misgenders them.

Why do you insist on inventing problems that don't exist just so you can be upset about it on Zig Forums?

I honestly cant tell is any of these are real or edits

Webtoons

wait how the fuck is Paranatural political?

None of the ones posted are edits.

Because webcomics, by and large, are shit. Zoomers' distaste for webcomics is one of their few saving graces.

Do you pay any attention to it?

read Kill Six Billion Demons and say that to my face, mother fucker.

oh you mean that weird, go-nowhere arc featuring fringe media and the adventures of a single, unimportant side character? Yeah that was weird but it didn't seem very political. If anything it seemed to be lampooning that style of media, not endorsing it.

It's real, and it's a huge troll that goes far deeper than you could ever imagine.

Webtoons are popular but I think it has to do with how you're expected to monetize everything. You can't just do a shitty webcomic for fun, which is how they exploded back then (and then some went on to become jobs) now you're expected to start the webcomic as a job.

I like K6BD as much as the next guy, but I'm a Morrowboomer. I wouldn't be surprised if zoomers didn't like it, or just never discovered it among the sea of other webcomics.

They do, it's just that they're all banned from Zig Forums unless it's tranny shit like "questionable content".

I saw someone on Twitter theorize that there's a direct link between the economy and the number of gamer webcomics. The better the economy, the more webcomics. The worse, the less.

I guess that would make sense in a 'has the free time and money to buy games and draw about them on the net' way.

> I love sucking Ben Garrison and Stonetoss 2 inch dick

I thought it would be the opposite
"I'm out of work so I have nothing better to do but play video games and make gamer comics."

Nobody mentioned either of those, but the fact that you're already shotgunning examples of banned webcomics means you already know what a problem it is here.

> I also have a 2 inch dick

Then they have to try to monetize it, fail and stop.

Well for the last decade or so, unemployment numbers in America haven't been that bad. The real problem is that the unemployment numbers look good on paper because more people are working shitty low paying no benefit part time jobs. So it's more like "I have to work 60 hours across two jobs to make end's meet and neither of them give me paid vacation. I'm too exhausted and don't have time to make a webcomic."

That's unfortunate, but I'm not sure why you felt the need to share that. Maybe you should have laid off the tranny pills.
