Is Empyre the worst event Marvel has ever done?
Looking around that seems to be the consensus.
Empyre
Ultimatum and Civil War 2 are the worst events. War of Realms and Absolute Carnage are worse than Empyre. Secret Empire wasn't as bad as the others but it was a dumpster fire for various reasons and led to Alonso stepping down as EiC.
The current event is always the worst event
No, just heavily wrecked due to circumstances beyond anybody's ability to anticipate.
Looking around where? Whose consensus?
Remember Age of Ultron?
A couple of Anons here will tell you that Ewing is the new Alan Moore and that everyone's loving his guardians run, so this isn't the right place to ask this question.
>Is Empyre the worst event Marvel has ever done?
Not even close
>Looking around that seems to be the consensus.
Looking where?
>Ultimatum and Civil War 2 are the worst events
No
>War of Realms and Absolute Carnage are worse than Empyre.
No
>Secret Empire
So you're saying that Empyre is better or worse?
Shut the fuck up you fucking frog
>>Ultimatum and Civil War 2 are the worst events
>>No
Are you fucking high?
It’s the best event of the past 15 years
most pointless maybe. not the worst but its a nothingburger
bait
war of the realms wasn't bad at all
>most pointless maybe
So you didn't read Infinity Countdown and Infinity Wars?
based
I just want to get to Knull, he seems like a great character.
>Is Empyre the worst event Marvel has ever done?
It's not even close to the worst, it's just a lot nothing, and just another alien invasion event but this time there are two alien factions at once. Unless something good or lasting happens in the second half of the event, it's going to be an event people forget about like Maximum Security or Fear Itself, not remembered for how bad it is like Civil War 2 and Secret Empire.
>Secret Empire wasn't as bad as the others but it was a dumpster fire for various reasons and led to Alonso stepping down as EiC.
All of the things related to Secret Empire that anyone liked were all in the build-up. The event itself is memorably bad, and a complete mess, likely due to the rumored rewrites. We really need someone to tell a behind the scenes story on Secret Empire and how it all went wrong, the same as we need the inside story on Alonso's departure.
Empyre is just gonna be one of those events that will pass and go. But it's not gonna be as worse as Strawman War II.
OP, have you forgot Age of Ultron? Ultimátum? Fucking Civil War 2?
>all these people hating Absolute Carnage
Fuck you guys
This isn't even that bad, just by the numbers
what's up with tiny black Optimus Prime ?
fuck no, and even suggesting it is is laughable
Absolute Carnage is just a few fights string together and repeated in the tie ins. Barely anything happened except letting everyone know that Knull is coming.
It's not bad, it's just an event, which is already an improvement than the previous events we've been gotten in the past few years.
Riri used to have a cooler mech before she got Tony's castoffs when he died
Thanos destroyed that suit and she built her current Ironheart
That was Riri before she took the name Ironheart.
is this where the Carol hatred started? cuz she seems like a dumbass
was she not meat to look like Ironman back then?
This is where Carol hatred started for me though I'm pretty sure it's mostly Bendis hate that coursed through my veins when this story was published.
it's unclear. It was probably just be Deodato's tracing hackery leaking through to other artists.
The problem is that Carol is the villain from Minority Report and after putting Tony in a coma she gets a promotion and everyone loves her.
I think its cause its a cosmic event and not going to really impact how earth's heroes are going to be like even if it drastically changes the state of the alien politics. The only significant impact I can see it having for the main earth is if Carol is gonna be roped into the Kree more.
We already know she's getting a She-Hulk-sized half sister.
The 3 issues before Empyre 1 were great. I've not checked out Empyre yet.
So far, Empyre ain't bad.
Its not *good*, its kinda bland. But there have been many, many worse events that were actively bad.
No but people like to pretend it was.
Empyre is once again an """"event"""" thats not so secretly a mini series, which is a good thing, I'm glad so many tie-ins git cancelled, even if theres a few I was looking forward to
