This is way worst than season 1. I especially hate how they somehow have to squeeze lesbian stuff in the show. Like why? Do you have to have lesbians in the show?
Umbrella Academy S2
>netflix
Yes
The show has a homo in season 1 and you're complaining about lesbians? Fuck off.
The homo is gay and not lesbian. He's also in S2 so go fuck yourself. He is also way more interesting than whatever the fuck is the sudden lesbian farm wife.
So you're cherrypicking your homos now? Dykes bad but fags are cool? Pathetic.
When dykes are 99% of the lgbt representation, yes they are bad. Fuck off cuck.
Alright, but what don't you like about it besides the lesbian stuff?
No that's it. Lesbian bad
So if they removed the lesbians would you enjoy it then, you fucking crybaby bitch?
Everyone in the family besides Five being stupid as fuck. Luther getting beat up by normies. Allison not using her powers nearly as much as she should. Hazel dies Episode 1. The Swedes not being special anything and are fooled by that stupid message. Some of the plotpoint are changed from S1. S2 basically being a rethread of S1.
>trolls arguing with literal strawmen
Never thought I'd see the day.
The whole BLM shit was worse.
>can like one gay character and dislike another yet be called homophobic
This is why representation for all groups is so pushed back against.
It's horrible. Just like the comic.
Ellen page has a receding hairline.
I was more annoyed by how Lila just had powers out of nowhere in the last episode, what a dumb asspull just to keep her relevant
>implying the civil rights movement is comparable to BLM
BLM is uncoordinated, strangely antagonistic in some of it's members, and frankly means different things across the pond.
The Civil Rights movement was carefully organised, discussed, philosophised over, and frankly had some real masterstrokes for a civil movement. The sit ins plan, while extremely dangerous for it's participants, was genius. Either everyone is perfectly okay with these people sitting down, in which case why have segregated cafes and the like, and if they're not, you have a huge amount of press coverage over what amounts to a group of people being harassed while ordering food, simply for their skin colour.
Of course, this effect was intensified massively by the fact the police force in a certain state thought it was a great idea to fire bomb the fucking bus people were in.
They did show hints throughout the show though.
I think he’s saying it’s not needed to have another gay focus, and he’s annoyed because most gay focus is usually lesbians and this show had a homosexual male focus and now it’s not going to get as much focus.
I haven't finished it but I think it's really fun.
I fucking hate licensed music but the soundtrack is great and some of the fights and music montages are great.
Story is whatever because all time travel stories are retarded, but at least nothing is dragged out like the first season.
>complaining about lesbian shit
Shut up and enjoy girls making out
>Shut up and enjoy girls making out
It would help if Ellen Page was cuter, and that's coming from a guy who had a crush on her from Juno.
Was my main complaint
>Shut up and enjoy girls making out
Sorry but I'm not anglo saxon and I have pride being a man.
I'm just annoyed it's yet another focus on Vanya. Gay or not how does this shut in social reject keep getting relationships/most of the show focus other than by the 'celebrity' of her actress.
It felt a lot more boring than last season, maybe it was just because the first season already exists the standard was set there.
Also did the thing I hate about most (especially comic) tv shows and brought back a very dead villain. I was so looking forward to AJ for him to be sidelined to give the Handler more attention. He literally did nothing wrong and died.
>other than by the 'celebrity' of her actress.
There is literally no other reason. They literally have her name be the first to ve shown during the end credits.
If Sissy was just trying to get away from Carl and he was being an abusive asshole then I would understand the hatred for him.
But
>dude works his ass off to provide a home for his family and a decent life
>accepts his son's condition
>takes in a complete stranger and let's her live there for free
>never cheats on his wife or abuses her
>knows they are growing distant but he keeps trying
>suddenly catches stranger lady making love to his wife
>his kid is acting even stranger than usual
>stranger wants to steal his wife and child
>he is presented as the bad guy because MUH LESBIANS YOU CIS SCUM
I just wish they would stop doing close up shots of her. Her scenes are already the most boring, but long stretches of hushed dialogue with zoomed in fivehead is god awful.
Yeah this bothered me too. At first I was hoping they were not going to go that route or at worst it turns out he's gay too and they separate amicably considering they already did the homosex is bad with Klaus.
But no he's abusive because he wants to work it out with his wife and playfully pats her ass in front of her lesbian lover.
I know. It was so strange. He did everything right. Like what was the thing that got Sissy all worked up over? She wants to be a fucking counter girl? He's abusing her and his son? Like the show did a 180 on what to do with Carl once Vanya become gay. Like the guy at first was very humanising. He isn't perfect but he tries. Did they change writers midway through?
Not only that but the commie plot point was also dropped so suddenly. It feels weird.
How is the show overall? I read the comics way back when they first came out and liked them. My normie friends seem to love the show but will I like it having read the source material?
I wish they took out the part where he talks about gay being unnatural and sending his son to a mental facility. If you took those two things out he'd be a very sympathetic character, and that make him a better villain.
The story already sets him up against Vanya, and he is already losing his wife. You don't need to hammer it home that's he hated gays and wants to put his son away. Him leaving with the son is still good enough. I also like how he seemed to be the only to point she's Russian and could be a spy, that was a good use of him being racist but not over the top.
>I wish they took out the part where he talks about gay being unnatural and sending his son to a mental facility.
That's pretty much the default back in the 50s. Gays are unnatural and the mentally deficient were sent to mental facilities to rot for the rest of their lifes. Of course the writers didn't intend a social commentary but villanization
