Star Wars was a great trilogy of movies. I enjoyed a few of the books that came later, but it's best not to treat them too seriously.

While doing Luke dirty is a terrible thing, the Skywalker "bloodline" is no big deal. It started with some nobody slave, went on to hero of the Clone Wars, went on to two heroes of the Rebellion, and than died. The Skywalkers were not important, Anakin and Luke were.

Do we know Shmi's parents in either continuity? Anakin being fatherless doesn't mean he doesn't have a maternal lineage.

Not nearly to the extent that I used to, but I'm looking forward to the next season of The Mandalorian, I'm going to give The Bad Batch a chance even though I don't care all that much for the characters themselves, and I still check out the comic storytimes.

This is true for the audience too, more importantly. People only cared about the Skywalker family because of Luke's relationship with Vader and how that reflected the themes of the story and both of them as characters. The lineage never mattered, even before Lucas's godawful "there was no father" Chosen One shit.

For what it's worth, it's the only one that tried to bring the sequel trilogy in a new direction and I will always rue the wasted potential of Supreme Leader Kylo Ren's galactic rule.

But no seriously, I think JJ ending the sequels by basically telling us nothing anyone did ever mattered really sucked a lot of energy out of the room as it were. I don't give a rats ass about what Leia does now because I know the New Republic was all for nothing and Sheev won in the end.

Honestly, it feels as if any kind hype or interest for the franchise that was still left here died out the moment the last TCW episode dropped, which on itself doesn't really make much sense considering most of the reception was good.
Personally, I don't really care, if not at all.
The only kind of SW talk I enjoy on Zig Forums is the Grievousposting and the occasional off topic regarding KOTOR, but now I have an entire new board for Kreiaposting and complaining about Karpyshyn's shit, so what gives.
