Better protagonist
I don’t feel like debating the rest in this bait thread but who do you think is the deuteragonist in korra
>better protagonist
>better deuteragonist
>better villains

Why do some people hate this again
You're not wrong.
A combination of nostalgia for the original series (which was objectively bad, Bryke can't write for shit) and muh lesbians.
That said, both series were shit, but the original ekes it out a little better by being relatively original, whereas Korra is just a watered down continuation.
Asami? But that's comparing her to Zuko, which is not a favorable thing to do.
>Why do people hate this again?
There is nobody in atla who asami could compare favorably to, she's already the least interesting character in korra
Overall it was okay. Just okay. The show's biggest issue is power creep. They made blood, lightening and metal bending and the avatar state to common and overpowered. Korra wasn't a mary sue though, she got her ass kicked repeatedly. People just call her that because a progressive reddit-tier bisexual POC woman makes them seethe.
It's either Raava or Jinora, although Tenzin is pretty damn important and Asami became pretty damn important later on.
Raava is garbage, jinora and tenzin are alright but can’t compare to zuko in development, asami is irrelevant until season 4 and even then doesn’t really matter that much
Is this a discord spam?
Raava is near the very core of at least 90% of Korra's problems. Asami becomes important in book 3 the moment she becomes a reliable company to the protagonist and a way for the audience to find out what said protagonist is thinking and feeling.
A deuteragonist is not a character you personally like. Good job retard.
To be fair Korra's own power creep makes the rest look like jokes.
>>better deuteragonist
There's a deuteragonist in Korra?
OP said better deuteragonist retard, raava and asami are in no way better
i like it but i can see why people would find korra's personality annoying
The definition of better has nothing emotional in it. Raava's importance to the entire series far outweighs anything seen in The Last Airbender and Jinora's Iroh tier maturity and spiritual affinity also outweighs Zuko when you consider that Jinora directly influences the balance of the world by being the first airbending master not taught by Aang and one of two people solely responsible for rebuilding and leading a brand-new air nation.
Zuko is indeed a better written character given how much time he had but the OP doesn't say better written deuteragonist.
>potentially better protagonist, but character progression is mostly ass and resets each season when it isn't
>two thirds of the deuteragonists are boring, and the only one with a real pathos is the comedy relief, for some reason
>each villain is completely forgotten about after the end of each season
>which is especially bullshit considering it's been proved some water benders can cut off other's abilities
>an avatar isn't necessarily benevolent and wise, and can be formed with enough energy and a powerful enough spirit
>An anarchistic NWO exists determined to end the avatar cycle forever
>Kuvira found a solution to the problems of engineering of giant items, including the square cubed law
>the plot is inconsistent in quality, and lacks a central theme throughout, as they made each season individually, rather than deciding a start, an end, and filling in the blanks from the start
It's not bad, and I don't hate it. It's just not as good as it could have been.
>mary sue
>korra
She's the opposite, she's a complete jobber. She's been taken out by rope, weebs, shock sticks, politicians, her own poor tactical decisions, her interior was VORED for her avatar spirit which is odd, because she was winning that fight up until that point, she's been glass jawed in mecha spirit form etc.
It's the problem with having an aggressive protagonist who sucks at fighting, after having a pacifist who can't get hit by a real punch. It just makes her look incompetent in comparison.
>muh power levels over good storytelling
When will faggots grow out of this shit.
You are objectively bad. Aang is a funny show with endearing characters and sick action scenes. I hope you get raped.
It had good elements, but the execution was generally poor. The result was a show of mixed quality, and since it was follow up to a very popular franchise it was judged more harshly.
>Why do some people hate this again?
>some people
>people
Incels aren't "people" user.
based
>I hope you get raped.
Why? Is that how you were conceived?
No. I want you to be traumatized and silenced because you have a shit opinion on this cartoon.
>Why do some people hate this again?
Because it had;
>worse protagonists
>no deuteragonist
>worse villains
>no overarching plot
>better shitposters
>I hope you get raped.
I am not screaming, i am typing.
Things like lightning being common place made sense to me, it was like 8 decades from the end of the last series, which took place in a time where a simple how-to guide on waterbending was a coveted and valuable item. They've had radical advancements in printing/information technology by then and it's not like they ever established that you have to be some super special person to do lightning, you just have to practice it until you learn it.
>I am not screaming, i am typing.
>I hope you get raped.
Oh boy.
Nope
Nope
Debatable
Fuck no
Here's your (You)
I dont wear glasses
>I dont wear glasses
yes
yes
not even debatable
fuck yes
here's your (You)
I am green. You are getting closer.
>they didn't establish you have to be special to lightening bend
But they did. ATLA established that it was a skill only practiced by Fire Nation nobility.
>But they did. ATLA established that it was a skill only practiced by Fire Nation nobility.
Yeah, but they never said they needed to be a member of the royal bloodline to do it or anything, it was just an advanced technique that was taught to family members within the royal family, anyone could do it if they knew how, but at that time period no one would have the knowledge to learn it other than the royal family.
Practiced, not genetically exclusive to. The general public was aware of lightening by the time that one Ozai vs Aang theatrical play was a thing.
Eventually it got out of such arbitrary restrictions and became less uncommon.
