I'm still waiting for lost-all-his-money low-tech hobo Batman.

When he stops being a creature of the night and just becomes a SWAT officer with stubby ears.

I don't know the gauge exactly, but I am so so so sick of Batman looking like he's a walking tank. I miss the days when Bruce could still suffer from, say, bullet wounds. It adds to the danger he's in. He doesn't throw himself into endless life-situations because he expects to see himself on the other side. He does it because he's trying to make up for something he couldn't do when he was a child.

Actually a really fun idea

Isn't that just Zur-En-Arrh?

this is the line that mustn't get cross

It's funny because back in the day, a utility belt with any tool Batman needed WAS pretty advanced and now we look back on it as pretty low key and simple. Batman should have a degree of vulnerability, but if a man has literal billions to spend on crime fighting then, yeah, I guess it makes sense if he has tech that aids in that. As time moves on though, what is considered advanced is going to be constantly reshaped.

Are we holding out any hope for Battinson?

When it reaches the level of him wearing a suit that gives him super powers or mechas and shit. Science tools and stealth gadgets don't bother me as much. But removing his human vulnerability or raising too many questions of realism with advanced armor is too much

exactly. These people don't realize having a car, utility belt with designer tools, a base of operations and more were all high tech in the late 30s. Bruce's origin depicts him mastering the sciences. Batman is shot by the Joker in Batman #1 only to survive and specify that he's wearing bullet proof armor.
People say modern Batman is an Iron Man ripoff, but really it's the other way around.

The fact that it won’t be an action focused film and more of a detective thing gives me hope

I just watched Good Time. I've got high hopes.

Basically when DCAU Batman was producing strength suits is where we should draw the line.

Batman was the original comic super scientist. Without him, Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic have no template to be based on.

'Tec #98 has him as king of the hoboes.

'Tec #237 has him live for much of the story as a taxi hack, instead of a millionaire.

In fact much of the earlier Batman stories had Bruce just very comfortably wealthy, with a lot of investments and sitting on the board of commerce and board of directors of a lot of companies and charities, instead of stupid impossibly wealthy. The New Look Batman gave him an ACTIVE business and his wealth has grown ever since.

Frankly, I don't think Batman invented the concept of "Super genius inventing cool shit"

Of course not, but every superhero known for his intellect lives in the shadow of Batman. Similarly, every superhero known for their superpowers lives in the shadow of Superman. Superman did not invent the concept of "strongman accomplishing impossible tasks" , but without superman, we would not have that archetype.

wasn't that what stan lee did for his version of batman?

All of this is entirely true. He still shouldn't LOOK like he's wearing armor. He should LOOK like he's part of the night come to life to deliver other-worldly justice on those most deserving.

No seams, is basically what I'm saying.

I fucking hate how modern video game characters are so over-designed.

Dude Wayne should be raiding star labs like a small orphanage for male gymnasts.

Guy think's he can fist fight a guy who tugs moons around by his balls. Worlds smartest orphan better have to faster then light batarangs.

Batman should be Wildcat with just enough alien tech to keep him fighting. Like sherlock holms with a alien petticoat,

Have to show off the graphics textures.

100% agreed. He should look like he's wearing a shirt and briefs, hiding the tech underneath. Like a magician concealing his tricks.

Bingo
A little slight of hand and deception ashould be as much of a part of the toolkit as the belt and cowl are.
Hell even the opening of batman89 got that almost bang on

Anything that goes above what's currently used by military or at least has been prototyped.
The whole point of Batman is he's human, giving him magic scifi tech that does everything for him is boring.

He should be a ninja with some clever James Bond gadgets, that's it.

Isn't that just Catman?

I simply cannot understand why people hate this suit, it's a pretty nice prototype for the beyond suit and it fits with the whole army thing of the game

That sucks

Consider playing more games than just the popular ones.
