They are desperate for a villain
Chip is doing everything in his power to give Big City Greens some semblance of an overarching story so those mouth breathing lore fanatics finally start giving this show a chance.
But all his efforts are in vain.

He's got a chip on his shoulder.

I've been enjoying this middle batch of Big City Greens S2 episodes. It still pisses me off that Kiana's Team Rocket episode was the only one that got any traction online
dude she's getting brutally mogged by that cute redhead
Keep bowing down and you'll get killed last.
Looks more like a corporate capitalist
That's where we'll have to disagree. I prefer a sultry woman over some teenage girl.
Remy is adorable
cool promo
I love concept art
too bad the show is hot garbage
How so?
He's just a douchebag who loves flaunting whatever power he has on others and exploiting everyone around him.
>What's his fucking deal?
Reminder that Cricket is the one who conned Chip in his debut episode by selling him garbage disguised to look like produce, one piece of which is what caused him to initially break his tooth. The entire feud between Chip and the Greens is because Cricket scammed Chip and permanently injured his face.
Cricket is the bad guy, not Chip.
New Money that can't figure out why he keeps losing to children
Except when Chip went in to bite the fake food Cricket told him it was fake. Chip didn't listen.
I figured that someone would take from what I just explained awhile back about how Cricket was the one that started to whole feud that threw the Greens under the bus
Nah, he’s a male karen
>>hot garbage
Sounds like you
While Cricket definitely sparked this ongoing conflict that whole Green family's been thrust into, Chip Whistler was already depicted as sleazy with how he looked down upon local farmers from his bubbled life of nepotism & wealth and how he knew more about business than the actual farming profession. The writers just failed to present him as a true antagonist in that first episode since they needed more focus on Cricket learning The Lesson of the Day™. This wasn't a fair trade-off story-wise because Chip was left hurt at the end of "Supermarket Scandal" for something Cricket started. The guy was just doing business and offering big money to people who could get the job done.
It wasn't until Chip's following appearances that the writers started playing up his more villainous traits (hurting local business by butting into the farmers market with his own Wholesome Foods stand, stealing beans from local coffee shops, emphasizing how different his values are versus his father's).
Chip is supposed to be a rich, maniacal jerk. "Supermarket Scandal" was just a poor first impression that didn't fully portray him in the way the writers might've intended.
Cricket and family treated Chip with respect after he fucked up apologizing to them. He's keeping this whole feud going
