We need a /vrpg/ equivalent for Zig Forums

Newfag here, I've always wondered why are cartoons banish to trash and what is the exact point of generals?

The problem is Zig Forums isn't anywhere near as bad as Zig Forums is that the mods feel it necessary to create a whole board specifically to talk about a genre of video games just because the video game board is unsalvageable
We could have gotten /cog/ instead of sending them to /trash/ during /trash/'s early days but that didn't pan out and i'm sure a rando mod would have just fucked over a new Zig Forums related board like the way a /d/ mod pushed western /d/ shit on a board that wasn't meant for it

Some years ago generals were a thing created so that people could go to one specific thread to talk about the topic they liked
For whatever reason user's didn't like this one bit and reee'd about getting rid of them because they weren't "Zig Forums" enough. So the mods banished them to /trash/ under the sudden rule no one was told about that was "Cartoons currently not running aren't too be talked about" which is somewhat vague and not helpful and retarded

After that happened people bitched and complained about the catalog being filled with threads focusing on the same subject despite them complaining about Generals.
So we kinda just got rid of something useful just to complain about the point of why they existed

Generals were a good idea for a while and then ultimately b& because they started to dominate page 0. The first 10 threads of the board would consistently be the same series over and over again even if they'd ended years before, effectively squelching all other discussion.
More alarming, the general threads had high-post rates with insular culture that resulted in extensive tripfaggotry and circle jerking. They stopped being about the actual series and inevitably devolved into ERPing and fanwank making them increasingly hard to moderate on work safe boards.

After recognizing that every "General" thread followed the same trend of degeneration to masturbatory off-topic posting, mods effectively banned them.

Because those fandoms engage the hardest in masturbatory off-topic posting, and rather than eject them entirely from the site they're provided a space where they and fap themselves stupid without disturbing the piece. So long as they realize that the mods aren't going to intervene.

/gac/ = Golden Age Comics and Cartoons: Cartoons made before 1970 (Scooby Doo is the cap).
/rco/ = Retro Cartoons: Comics and Cartoons made after 1969 but before 2000 (Spongebob and Ed, Edd and Eddy are the caps).
/prco/ = Past Recent Comics and Cartoons Cartoons made after 1999 but before 2015 (increases by 1 year every year).
Zig Forums = Only for comics and cartoons are currently in production, even long runners except....
/simp/ = Matt Groening shows such as The Simpsons, Futurama and Disenchantment, Life in Hell talk is also allowed too.
/webco/ = Webcomics and Webtoons: Including Homestar Runner
/ecc/ = Euro Cartoons and Comics (May be a tan board).
/KoMa/ = Korean Manhwa: So that Zig Forums stops deleting Tower of God and God of High School threads. Korea's other IPs like Dooly the Little Dinosaur can be talked about here as well, and yes, Squirrel and Hedgehog is allowed.
/disco/ = Disney Comics & Cartoons: Self explanatory.

Also...
/ra/ = Retro Anime and Manga: Anime made before 2000
/oa/ = Old Anime and Manga: Anime made after 1999 but is no longer in production for at least 5 years, leaving Zig Forums with only anime and manga that is still in production.

Just separate the board into Zig Forums - Comics and /ca/ - Cartoons. There’s little crossover between these subjects, it’s different from anime/manga. I want to talk about comics and so many of the cartoonfags on this board are so clearly mentally ill, not to mention cartoons almost completely dominate the board at this point.

Allow comic/cartoon adaptations of comics/cartoons to be discussed on either board.

I dont dislike cartoons and watch them sometimes, I respect the art of animation, but the communities for these shows are textbook degeneracy. They represent only the worst aspects of fandom garbage.

Why not just separate capeshit, since that's already a culture of its own?

The comics medium is intrinsically tied to superheroes at this point. Literally anywhere you go on the internet that talks about comics, even the most highbrow pretentious community, there will be some superhero talk from time to time.

The problem is movies. Movies take up way too much discussion here. There's no other board where adaptations take up as much or more discussion than the primary topic. Imagine if a third of the threads on /lit/ were about movie adaptations of books, or half the threads on Zig Forums were about live action versions of anime. That shit would get banned in a second.
Movies and TV should be limited to Zig Forums. That would also take half the shittiest casuals with them and probably reduce the amount of twitter outrage shitposting.

But generals exist anyway, just without the name. There’s a designated Owl House, Amphibia, etc thread up right now that basically act as generals.
Allowing generals officially though would stop duplicate threads from popping up. We need them back
