>Cruella, because Maleficent just wasn't enough
>The Little Mermaid, it's going to suck no matter who plays Ariel
>Peter and Wendy, which will definitely turn Wendy into yet another strong independent robot who don't need no personality
>Jungle Book Sequel, we can trust Disney to be faithful to the book right guys?
>The Lion King Follow-Up, because that needs to exist
>Snow White, because nothing is sacred
>Pinocchio, now with 100% more horrifying CGI
>Aladdin Sequel, to use none of the cool ideas from the animated film's follow-ups
>The Hunchback of Notre Dame, because it wasn't watered-down enough the first time
>Rose Red, that's right there's a Snow White spin-off before the remake is even finished
>Bambi, because The Lion King wasn't enough
>Hercules, but with more feminism most likely
>The Sword in the Stone, with 100% less T.H. White because Disney forgot who that was
>Robin Hood, because nobody learned anything from Cats
>Aladdin Spin-Off, because everyone was just dying to know the Genie's backstory
>Lilo & Stitch, need I say more?
>Tinker Bell, because that's the hill Disney wants to die on
>Prince Charming, because I have no idea
>The Chronicles of Prydain, which totally won't turn out like Artemis Fowl
>Night on Bald Mountain, let's hope to Belobog it got cancelled
>Rapunzel, because ten years is long enough
>The Snow Queen, because fucking Frozen
>Avatar 2, 3 & 4 (it counts as a Pocahontas remake), because both Disney and James Cameron love money
Disney still plans to remake ALL THE THINGS

>Night on Bald Mountain
Interesting quandary: Why don't they do a live-action Fantasia movie? That would work way better than any of this remake shit, and they could do whatever they wanted with it. You can't tell me that it wouldn't be profitable if they're planning to remake one segment from the original.
How are they going to remake Hercules? I can't imagine the humor/tone of the original translating well to live action, or are they going to ignore that and make a super serious film?
Did you really need a snarky quip for every fucking movie? Shut up man
Live action ban when
It'll be an action-comedy like the MCU or the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
In fact, the Russos are directing it.
They better use Mozenrath or Mirage in the Aladdin sequel instead of Jafar again or that bald loser from the king of thieves movie.
Banned from this board? Yes please
Wait, they're still planning on making hunchback, even after the delay with Norte dame going up in flames?
I am TENTATIVELY optimistic about the Hunchback of Notre Dame remake, because the stage show differed from the animated movie and it was still fantastic, so as long as they keep it operatic and stick to the darker themes of the movie it should be okay.
I will be very, very upset if they fuck it up.
The flood of capeshit movies ruined Disney for me forever. I now accept that I'm too old to care about any of it. It's freeing but a little sad.
Blame the Cultists who watch these movies out of nostalgia.
>>Night on Bald Mountain
Leave Chernabog alone, Disney. He doesn’t need to be an anti-hero.
Night on Bald Mountain is their third "Live-action version of a Fantasia segment" after Sorcerer's Apprentice and that Nutcracker movie nobody saw.
Rather than remake Hunchback of Notre Dame, why not a Frollo spin-off movie?
He's not iconic enough. Sure, lots of people online love him, but he's still not quite a household name like Maleficent or Cruella.
I think a Frollo movie has potential as a medieval epic/character study movie. Show him losing his parents and trying to raise his brother (canon to the novel), being ordained as a priest but defrocked due to his sexual desires, and rising all the way to rule Paris with an iron fist.
>>Peter and Wendy
The 2003 movie exists and it's the best adaptation hands down.
That could have potential, as long as Disney has nothing to do with it
How in the hell are they going to make Robin Hood work on a Disney+ budget? That movie is destined to get scrapped in pre-production.
>I am TENTATIVELY optimistic
Please stop.
>I now accept that I'm too old to care about any of it.
It's not that you're too old to care, it's that Disney stopped caring a long time ago.
Wonder when we'll see a live action remake of Atlantis and Brother Bear, because I'm 100% sure we'll get one
What I do hope is that they NEVER touch Emperor's new groove, now that's a movie you just can't do in live action but I'm sure they'll try
>The Snow Queen, because fucking Frozen
Didn't they already do that with Once Upon A Time or something?
Yes, and now they're apparently doing it again
Yes. It was soap-opera tier drama and had tons of cleavage.
Remember, this the future that everyone wanted, pursued and approved, even if you all refuse to acknowledge so
Disney employee here.
The Dumbo remake underperfomed worldwide (especially China), The Lion King remake did well in China but lost serious money in Japan, Maleficent 2 bombing worldwide and now the Mulan remake bombed in China and bombed harder everywhere else (Even 2020 Mulan failed to rake in any money on Disney+).
Oh and Star Wars bombed in China, Disney's now just trying to market the live-action remakes for any country since it does well internationally most of the time. Singapore, Saudi Arabia, India, etc.
No joke, Disney's now resorting to try to get their movies over in North Korea.
>soap-opera tier
That's because Once is a soap opera
Does this mean Frozen is dead?
WORSE.
Frozen makes over a billion every time they put it on screen, it's not going anywhere
Why shouldn't they? The video game industry does the same thing. You play the original game, then you play the remastered version years later, then they do the remake.
over a billion what?
>That Sorcerer's Apprentice movie with Nic Cage
Holy shit it's all coming back to me I had completely wiped it out from my head
user, do you remember when they told you in school that Wikipedia is not a reliable source?
Wikipedia told me Wikipedia is not a reliable source
But come on, this is Disney we're talking about. You know they're absolutely going to remake all these sooner or later.
How many of these are going to end up shelved?
