Seasons 1-4 are good, the rest has its moments but the magic is gone. Much like how season 1 of R&M was good but then season 2 stated pandering to the "deeper meaning" crowd and season 3 was a trainwreck. That's just the way it goes.

The latest episode kind of shocked me with how quickly they got to the main plot. Usually the first third of the episode is devoted to some unfunny wacky side adventure.
But they soon got back to disappointment as the godawful mafia gags started rolling in. I especially hate the new “Explain a cliche, then do that cliche” type of “joke”. They did the mob parodies better in Season 2 anyways.

I just hate how every joke is them explaining what's happening. Either in a "I went to the zoo instead" way or an overly long depiction description of some shitty thing the writers dealt with. Like "hello, every bowling store in town, yes we DO have bad fitting shoes! yes we DO have gum everywhere on the floor!" which is the absolute pinnacle of female comedy but now everyone's doing it.

Family Guy still has a vision and because of that they have never felt like they became terrible. I only remember one season being too bad cause it was full of autism jokes first few episodes in and tried hard to be edgy, but they bounced back quickly. It's still a serviceable show. None of the new seasons hold a candle to first 4-5 seasons though.

CW censors a ton. I watch it on there occasionally and you will notice bits being cut or words being censored. CW also censors jerry springer when it's an episode about transsexuals too so take that as you may.
