I didn't like how tongue in cheek the show was. The attitude was always "Lol, nothing matters it's just a cartoon." Even for things that mattered to the overall story, whatever that was.

The problem is that she didn't have enough screen time for most to notice. WAY too many people act as if only the main characters in a cartoon exist when coming up with r34. As a waifu with less than ten total appearances throughout the show's run, Cosma was destined to be overlooked. At least Wilhamena was powerful enough to break that rule

It didn't. CN just never treated it as a regular show and more as a "multi-platform franchise," so the console game underperforming must've been enough reason to deem OK K.O.! "unprofitable."
At least that's my working theory. Ian JQ said he'd be open to dishing out all the details should someone invite him for a podcast interview. Hopefully that can happen soon.
