That's fine, a lot of people don't like pop mixed with other genres because it generally means accessibility while lacking in the intensity of the original genre. Pop on its own is fine, art pop is pretty great.

That's fine, others will follow genres and put work into discovery, and the movements surrounding music. Harsher sound softens over time the more you're exposed to it. You don't care and like the accessibility. Good thing there's music for both kinds of people.

It's less that Emo's "do" anything. The term is far less descriptive to how that person acts than goth. It's not quite squares and rectangles but it's close.
