I'm looking for classic kinda high sci fi stuff, and I swear to God all I get recommended is saga. I've been reading all those old golden age strange adventures, mystery in space, and space adventures but I'm looking for something more modern, bronze age at least.
Looking for sci fi comics
You might want to check out more Euro comics from that era. Lots of scifi by Moebius, Bilal, and Druillet. Check out Lone Sloane, The Incal, and Metabarons.
Kill yourself and learn to google.
You also kill yourself. Do not spoonfeed the casual.
Google is the how you find the most surface level stuff, I'm obviously looking to dig a little deeper here
No, google is how you find comic recs. Coming here and shitting up the board with your demands to be spoonfed is how you piss people off. Nobody here has any obligation nor desire to help you. If your want something to read, go find it yourself, you lazy cunt.
Check out Hickman's stuff, specifically The Manhattan Projects and East of West.
In that vein you might also check out Frank Miller's Ronin, which is miller doing his best Moebius impression.
Retards like you will post shit like this then complain that nobody talks about comics on Zig Forums anymore, please fuck off
Worst, most useless comment I've seen in a long time
This shit right here is exactly what I'm talking about. This is why you never give the casuals an inch. They don't actually want to discuss comics, they just want to spam their bullshit and memes all over the place. Get the fuck out, you worthless sack of sub-human garbage.
Paper Girls was really good and had sci-fi elements. Great art and colors too.
I was just discussing comics until you told me to kill myself lmao get over yourself
If these creatures actually wanted to discuss comics, they wouldn't be demanding to be told what to read. They should damn well already have knowledge about comics.
No you weren't, you entitled little shit. Learn to google shit and piss off.
Just relax and take it easy man, no one cares that you had a bad day
I've heard of the incal but the others are new to me, I'll throw em on the list. Thanks!
Manhattan projects and east of west look like exactly what I was looking for
Are the faggot also saying puppets aren't Zig Forums?
Can't say I read most of this, but hope rec pics are welcome. If you don't mind licensed properties, you could also check out Future Quest. It reads more like a straightforward adventure with sci fi elements. Certain Transformers series might also be something you'll enjoy.
>Do not spoonfeed the casual.
recommending comics is now spoonfeeding
a good list but too broad for casuals
Fuck this pic is perfect, I've already read some stuff on here as well so tonally its very close to stuff I've been looking for
Also future quest has got frankenstien Jr in it which was always a favourite of mine
You are why Zig Forums sucks. Kill yourself, fucking enabler.
Yes, it is. Fuck recs and fuck you.
this series is great, make sure you start at the beginning
eternaut is old school cool
another slow burning series
bolland's judge dredd is gold
dark and moody, probably the best inked comic ever
i loved this one, a couple of gritty scenes
daniel clowes' latest book is pure sci fi
Future Quest legitimately got me in HB properties I had no interest in. I never expected to want more of Frankenstein Jr. or the Impossibles.
Glad to hear it. I don't know how up to date it is, but there's plenty off the list in this thread that's good, too. Since I barely dented it, anything on the list you'd recommend that's not Saga?
trying to recommend something by morrison or murphy, so i remembered they teamed up here
gorgeous art but hard to find a print edition
So I guess you just prefer the board as a complete shithole.
If you haven't already, all the jack kirby fourth world/ new gods stuff is essential, as well as the eternals (which isn't on this list unless they are referring to it under the cosmic saga, but that might be the silver surfer/galactus arc), john carter is good but thats just straight pulpy sword and planet stuff- not really sci fi per se but I like it. Also the original men in black comics, not the marvel tie in ones with the film, are really good too. The tie in ones aren't bad, its just a mirage/ archie comics tmnt situation there
Why would turning a casual into a more of a fan be a bad thing?
Not OP, but I dropped Paper Girls 10 issues in for reasons I can't remember. Does the series change gears or "improve" past the issues I read? I've seen the title recommended a few times recently so I've been thinking about revisiting it.
