ITT we post the first superhero comic book we ever read
It was my brother’s, but he never took it out of the polybag. I did and I still have it, too.
My sister's boyfriend gave it to me alongside an issue of Spider-Man based on the 90s cartoon
I have fond memories of USM and I regret it
incidentally it was also the first time I found out about linkara when I looked up the comic online
It was in the middle of a run, on the conclusion of some storyarc, involving tons of characters I didn't know,
Bit I was 10 and I had a couple of bucks at an airport that had a newsstand with comics. Was a fun read. I should give the whole run a read some day.
Same
no idea, it was an 80's book about the Teen Titangs fighting Superman, who was being mind controlled, I learned there that magic can harm superman
But I was like 5-6 at the time, so I can't recall anything else, like the issue number or cover...
I still own it and bought the whole run later as an adult.
I had the Taco Bell comics, I think it was the Avengers comics
The first comic book I read at my library
Before this all I saw was miscellaneous movies and the original spider-man trilogy. Found it in a Barnes and nobles saw spider-man die and despite the gross feeling in my stomach decided to slowly get into comics after that.
>inb4 people assume I'm underage and then realize this book is 8 years old.
is that jiren?
this megaman ripoff from the philippines
My parents bought this for me when I asked because I'd never read a comic before. That's when I learned it'd be impossible to understand these without buying a lot of them.
Am I the oldfag?
That was a book from my older bros.
Pic related is the first one I asked Dad to buy off the rack for me.
I'm very old.
If you don't count some obscure European imprints that I probably wouldn't be able to find either way.
This one is good.
what's this?
First one I ever read was this, but I remember my dad reading his old issues of Fantastic Four to me before this. He had some omnibus that collected the first 20 or so issues (and I think he had a Spider-Man one too)
I was so fucking confused
This was my introduction to comics. I pulled it from a news rack in a drug store.
It was a Chip n Dale comic.
Dunno which.
Secret Wars 2015 #1
I stopped reading comics after that event finished because I thought nothing looked good. I started reading legacy Spider-Man 789 and have stuck with it ever since. Since then, I've followed Modern Marvel because I trust Yoshida
The page with MJ in her 80's fitness get-up made my weewee feel strange
Me too, i even have the lunchbox.
My father only had the three first issues so i didn't know what happened until much later.
