Yes. There's plenty of times to bottle up vulnerability and negative emotions (most social or high pressure situations) but that being your default is pointless and is the pretend objective attitude that lands people in therapy or jail.
Crying isn't the only way to release your emotions. It isn't any less retarded that punching walls, drinking, going catatonic, throwing things, yelling, and all the other people do that is still really just a tantrum but is somehow more respectable.
