Aaaaahh, I'm so happy were finally having a chapter with the Annies acting as different characters!

It's ok Courtnie, I know what it's like to have someone not want to be around you.

>Renard. Don't make me mock the way my mother played with your heart, again

Kek.

So does his tism pretty much settle that forest annie doesn't belong in this timeline?

Neither of them do.

think we'll have both Annies through to the end of the series?

Court Annie might kill herself.

Poor Courtnie.

No, Fannie, fox dad is correct. This is some bullshit, and the both of you need to stop pretending otherwise.

Didn't say they're sticking around? Maybe they'll take different paths with one joining the psychopomps willingly.

Didn’t even realize he left without shoes. Lmao

Both will fuse into one Annie with double the lifespan

Fannie isn't saying Rey is wrong. Just that Courtnie doesn't need to hear it right now.

it's not all that obvious from the top panel anyway

I said it before, but maybe Tony's weird ritual will be repeated, and they'll sacrifice one to bring back Surma?

The Guides plotline is driving me insane. I NEED to know why they're so eager to recruit her. Each Guide represents a specific faith/belief, so maybe she's meant to be the representative of a new religion, Angelism, obviously. Muut did say in his first appearance "We do not deal in electrical appliances.".

I think they just want her to be their hand in the physical world, doing things that they can't or aren't permitted to.
Like when they got her involved in that business with jeanne

>well I got two now. May as well make one of them useful

Given how she was the only one who could guide Surma into the ether, I think elemental hybrids like her are technically their own psychopomps. Meaning she's both a mortal and a guide and able to bend the rules a bit for them.

I thought the reason the Psychopomps couldn't do that was that there was nothing left to take?

user plenty of cults worship fire, especially primitive ones

Makes sense. What doesn't make much sense is that they continue to lie to her, manipulate her, and then have the fucking gall to be a bunch of ungrateful pricks when she actually does the job they wanted her to do.

The pomps are lying bastards. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that turned out to be total bullshit.

>The pomps are lying bastards. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that turned out to be total bullshit.
it was Renard who said it, though

Oh boy! 40 years?

Actually, that makes me wonder something. Are there any faiths that specifically worship a psychopomp?

I ask because, as you say, plenty of faiths revere fire. But as an elemental, Annie technically IS fire. So, like, if Annie suddenly had a cult spring up around her, would she be responsible for carting her followers off to the ether?

Same difference? Either way, the daughter guides the mother and is thus a psychopomp.

So, are fire elementals technically immortal? There's nothing that says they'll die of natural causes if they don't breed. Annie is a borderline asexual turbosperg, so that ain't fuckin' happening. So unless one of them somehow knocks the other up.

Every thing in GK is mortal, even gods can die. And after you die your soul is destroyed in the Ether to fuel magic.

I wish I had a foxdaddy to comfort me when my meatdaddy didn't love me enough.
