Did she win a lot of bread?

whats it about user

Just some of that weird flat white arabian bread.

Its about a familiy that lives in afghanistan under the taliban regime.
there are three women and an infanty in the family and just one adult man that has to prived for them since they can't leave.

Something happens to him and the family needs to find a way to survive.

You should watch it, it's on kimcartoon, i promise it'll be worth it if you are not a /poltard.

* Infant * Provide

I am retarded. BUt i thought the movie was as underrated on this board as something like Dofus.

not to be confused with Nickelodeon's Breadwinners.

>Something happens to him and the family needs to find a way to survive.
So she prostitutes herself, that would be the realistic option.

I liked it but the fairy tale parts were not very interesting, IMO

To an extent, i kind of had the same feeling. It's a bit of a miss since it's just a story she makes up on the go, but it just did not translate so well in animated form.

At least the final part was great. I'm glad to know you liked it.

Please just watch it. It's so unjust how moveis like this get no spotlight whe nthere's so much work into them.

We live in a time and age where im jsut glad that 2d animated movies made in the west exist.

Yes, I've managed to watch all of Moore's works at my local art theater. It really was a great movie. The fairy tale part was probably the weakest part of it but I understand its purpose. Parvana and Shauzia were also real qts. The tension when they get chased by that Islamic Incel with an AK47 was pretty high.

I'm also the one who commissioned the vast majority of Parvana R34

I felt more tension when the big taliban guy was stopped by the guard while carrying Parvana's dad.

Also if true i hope you didn't commission that one drawing where Parvana gets infibulated.

Yeah that was a good scene too. Glad its on Netflix, might go ahead and rewatch it.

>Also if true i hope you didn't commission that one drawing where Parvana gets infibulated.

Nah any guro is outside my comfort zone. Same goes for that pic with a knife to her throat. The rest with them making it to France and living as sexually liberated sluts, all my requests.

is this just parvana? good book.

Huh, googled it. Looks like there are books that go further than the movie. Sounds like something for my book backlog!

Yeah it's takenfrom what i guess are the initial parts of those books. Worth the watch if you like animation, and moe to an extent.

It's one of the worst nickelodeon shows ever

My local film archive had a random screening of it a few years ago, I felt weird because I was like the only person there who wasn't a family with kids, but yeah it was good.
I was kind of surprised given the cultural climate these days that they made a movie that so resolutely condemns Islamic puritanism.

>a movie that so resolutely condemns Islamic puritanism.

same. It was done properly because the story was not centered around it but trasmitted it to you by showing the completely avoidable struggles of people living under such ideologies.

I knew it was a book, but I didn't know it's a series. Would be neat to see the rest of it animated.

Great movie

Kino, like anything by Cartoon Saloon. I thought it showed really well how shitty life can be under an islamist regime, but it never really feels like misery porn. Parvana a cute.

I wonder if it's a lot more popular in Europe? Like it's a lot more appreciated there since it was animated in Ireland.

Realistically they’d be part of an extended family who’d care for them and trade them off to other men for land/goats. But for the Westernized audience the idea of having more than 2 relatives within walking distance is completely foreign.

I liked the beginning but was kinda bored with the resr. Thought it was their worst film but haven't seen Secret of Kells yet.

Is only western propaganda...feminist propaganda "muh oppresion"

Not really. It's from 2017 and i never heard anything of it until i just looked at Persepolis on imdb and found this was recommended.

A large part of the movie was not super eventful indeed, but i thought it was fine cuz the setting was outlandish enough to make it interesting.
This is your mind on /pol.

Yes, it's a great movie. One of the best of the 10s

What would you say are some of the other good animated movies of the 10s?

It's unironically kino.

My Communist friends loved everything about it. It's pretty bland, they should have just filmed it regularly with live actors.

we do not deserve Tim Moore, he's really fucking good at making animeated movies

sorry i mispelled *Tom Moore
