>never won an emmy >stuck behind a paywall >cable syndication only for one season >unceremoniously cancelled >hardly any discussion
how did such a critically acclaimed show not contribute to the zeitgeist? no one remembers this show or talks about it any more, after not even a year after the finale, it's fading away
>stuck behind a paywall What does this even mean? It got a physical release, so you can't even complain about having to sub to Netflix for it
Robert Campbell
>never won an emmy It got nominated 3 times, so that is saying something. >Stuck behind a paywall Everyone has access to Netflix, or knows someone that does. Also this>cable syndication only for one season Only boomers care about cable.
>no one remembers this show or talks about it any more, after not even a year after the finale, it's fading away OP. You are retarded. The show has been talked about to DEATH. It is still talked about. There are clips of the show that are annualized to death on YouTube. The problem with the show is that the Existentialist pill gets tiring and depressing after a while. I really like the show, and I have watched it through multiple times, but I feel like garbage after plunging into the abyss.
Existentialism has some good points and lessons from it, but it is a very dark philosophy to materialize into a Cartoon. I'd rather watch King of the Hill so I don't feel like life is hopeless all the time. King of the Hill knows knows how to give you feels without being overbearing about it.
>unceremoniously cancelled WTF. No. The show lasted for 6 seasons. It got 16 episodes for it's last season. That is more than enough to wrap things up. I don't think there is much more to explore. The first 3 Seasons were really good, and the later seasons had a lot of quality content. Netflix just felt like it was time. Would you rather Bojack go on forever?
Literally almost everyone in the world has netflix or access to it. The paywall excuse doesn't work here. You have to pay for cable as well too you know
>Essentially you can keep going to the pity party but people will get sick of cake Yeah. That's it in a Nutshell. Too much Cake will make you feel like trash.
Jaxon Gutierrez
The second half is generally inferior to the first half, which is why people lost interest. Also, it started to feel like a shitty soap opera since people kept constantly going through similar issues because THAT'S JUST, LIKE, HOW DEPRESSION REALLY IS, DUUUUUUUDE.
If I wanted a realistic simulation of depression without an interesting story or character development, I'd stay in bed for weeks and piss in bottles.

>Emmy Awards matter Then I guess HBO Watchmen was the best Zig Forums related thing that came is in the last decade
Daniel Cox
>never won an emmy You know what shows won plenty of Emmys? The Big Bang Theory and Family Guy
Fuck award shows, they mean nothing.
Zachary Jackson
I think the show did better than most because of these points:
>6 seasons and able to lead to a decent conclusion Most shows don’t make it that far > nominated several time for emmys > for the most part didn’t go to shit towards the end Sure you can say the quality dipped in the last 3 seasons or so but I don’t think the quality dip was that extreme and still pretty solid overall.
Just because a show doesn’t have 10+ new threads dedicated to it everyday doesn’t mean it’s bad or forgotten about it just means we have different shit to talk about.
It’s time to move on op. Bojack did better than a lot of shows but now it’s time to move on to new things

Because it sucks

Don't bother. People here are too retarded to understand a show where you are not supposed to agree with the protagonist.
Matthew Wright
unironically because it was too good

not enough lesbians for the lgbt crowd to cling to
But it had a finale that felt complete, and if that show would have been any longer, it would most likely have gone to shit. Todds shenanigans started to take a worrying road later in the show. The "Todd becomes boss because of his sex robot" shit was just annoying.

best character was doane ngl

But it clearly is some kind of... horse guy.
