>Character is a cowboy

American dubs do it all the time, so I don't see why other countries don't do the same.
>character is southern
>speaks in a heavy southern drawl
>character is poor
>speaks with a hillbilly accent
>character is black
>speaks with a deep voice in ebonics
Not every language has an appropriate accent. Mexican dubs really struggle with irish or australian characters because they really don't have an accent in spanish.
>WELL I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT BUT WELLLLLL I DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANY OF THAT BIG CITY STUFF BUT WELLLLLLLLLLLL I'M A SOUTHERN BOY, AND DOWN HERE WE DO THINGS A BIT DIFFERENTLY!
Lol
Kino
The truth, then.
>>Character is a piece of shit
>>Mexican dub has argentine accent
Why do they hate us? :(
>NOW HOLD ON A MOMENT, LETS TALK ABOUT THIS
You gringos may be great at producing shit but you suck at dubbing other people's work. I cringe every time i hear your DBZ dubs or any english anime dub for that matter.
The Falklands are British
In dubs made in Portugal, black people tend to speak in an African-Portuguese accent that is common in countries that used to be Portuguese colonies like Angola or Mozambique.
>Character is british
>Mexican dub sounds like a faggot
In the Mexican dub of Futurama, Amy spoke with a stereotypical oriental accent.
>Well, well, well look at the city slicker rocking up in his fancy German car
Didn't Hermes have a Jamaican or some other stereotypical accent too?
You tell me, Argentinians hate Mexicans for no reason.
Swedish dubs are usually a bit lacking, but I remember finding Bruce the shark in Finding Nemo hilarious, having a Skansk accent (the south of Sweden, so the equivalent to southerner accent in the US).

Yes, as it should be
In Spain, Dr. Nick from The Simpsons speaks with a kinda Argentinian accent:

Kek, never knew about this one.
He sounded cuban to me. And amy had that shitty chingchong accent that in no way reflects actual asian accents. It's quite the opposite actually. They replace every R with an L when in reality the japanese can't pronounce the L.
Oh fuck i remember that from the spanish dub of Hit & Run
>Se me han escapado todo' lo mono'!
I've never met an argie that hates mexico.
>character is chinese
>OOOOHH MUCHOS PELDONES HONOLABLE GUELELO
What the fuck would that even be. Spangrish? Spanganese?
How do American, Italian, French, black, etc. characters sound in Japanese dubs?
I don't know but it sure as hell isn't accurate. Ivet talked to a lot of argenchinks and they don't talk like that.
Well, of course not, it's a cartoon. But there's exaggeration like Apu and then there's stereotyping.
That reminds me, in mexican dubs every turkish, indian, middle eastern or arab character shares the same accent.
