Goofus. He wants it more
Given that Gallant has apparently mastered the Musou Tensei, Gallant.
Logically, Goofus
Because anime bro love magic shit, Gallant
This bruh gets it. Unless the writer is a Edgelord.
Yes
But that's just it: Goofus is all brute force and impulse, he wins by overpowering his enemies before they can do anything. Gallant knows tactics, he knows how to overpower a foe several times his own strength with basic combat maneuvers. Even God of Pain Goofus doesn't stand a chance against Hero of Humanity Gallant.
Honestly, I'm on Gallant's side with this on. Goofus has raw strength, but Gallant can probably strategize better. He'll probably mess up crucially and come out with permanent injuries, since I see him messing up or underestimating Goofus at some point.
In this case? Gallant.
He knows Musou Tensei.
In a climactic showdown between Goofus and Gallant we have to take into consideration the relationship between the two. Goofus has always been the bane of Gallant's life, and vice-versa, so the two are already ready and willing to put everything on the line for victory. As mentioned, Gallant can strategize better and will likely have Goofus on the ropes at first, but eventually Goofus is going to tap into the seething hatred he's been carrying for Gallant all these years, and the berserker rage is going to kick in. In such a rage, Goofus becomes completely unpredictable, so Gallant won't have time to think things through and will have to operate purely on instinct, which has always been his biggest weakness. So the question becomes this: can Gallant regain his focus and gain enough time to come up with a plan to finally end Goofus, or will Goofus's unstoppable wrath tear him to shreds before he has a chance?
Goofus has the seething rage, but he can burn himself out after a while, and then he'll be left exhausted and more vulnerable than ever. Gallant might loose focus with his own rage, but if he can channel that into creative planning or keeping himself alive, he can win. Considering he has the spirit of his friends on his back, he'll likely be able to control himself for their sake; he wants to win for them, after all.
I don't know Fist of the North Star, does this imply that Gallant's friends are dead?
Gallant has known that rage ever since Goofus caused the death of his friends. But unlike Goofus, Gallant has come to terms with their deaths and his hatred and knows now how to channel it, and control it. Without any of the love and care Gallant had been given, there's no way for Goofus to come to terms with his anger and hatred in enough time to control it and use it properly. He's unstoppable only because he's never gone up against one who's fought that very anger and loss, and defeated it. With his friends on his back there's no way he'll lose himself to the anger, but with their righteous fury pushing him forwards there's no way Goofus's blind if justified rage could keep up. When they both charge forwards, Gallant will hear the voice of his friends telling him to keep his focus, reminding him of all the training they went through, and giving him the knowledge and courage to face anything.
Goofus will only hear the echoes of his screams of hollow anger, just before he hears the sounds of his own defeat.
Can Goofus be redeemed, or is he too far gone?
He doesn't want to be redeemed, and he'd rather die than do so. But if anyone CAN do it, it's Gallant.
Who's blood do you thing is on Goofus' fists?
>"My fists...stained permanently red by all the blood I have shed over the years. It is a testament to my strength, and a warning to those who would dare challenge me. But I don't need to tell you that, do I? After all, the very first blood to grace my fists was the blood of all of your friends...Gallant."
Little did Goofus know that Gallant held just as many victories on his fists, and soon, he would hold Goofus's heart in his hands. Yet none would ever know.
Because he always washed his hands.
The only way it could possibly end between them is that Goofus rejects his one last chance to be better, and Gallant is forced to end things. Of course, because of Gallants devotion to his ideals, this last chance he gave Goofus was just enough to cause him to receive the mortal wound that would kill him.
Because Gallant would die for his ideals, and Goofus would die to spite any ideal.
>"You...bastard..."
>"It doesn't have to end this way, Goofus. You and I, we have faced the same struggles, felt the same pain of loss, and even now I see the same boy who I once played ball with those many years ago. Please, Goofus...stop this madness. Stop this violence. Come with me, learn to be a better man, you have it in you to change."
>"Wh...why would you...try and save me?"
>"Because, despite everything in me telling me to kill you now, I know deep down that it's the right thing to do."
As I said, anime bro love bullshit winning out over general logic.
>Gallant diligently studies many forms of martial arts.
>Goofus only knows how to use brute force.
>Gallant doesn't start fights, but he will finish them.
>Goofus starts fights with everyone over everything.
>Gallant knows exactly how much energy to use so that he doesn't tire himself out.
>Goofus uses his full strength every time.
>Gallant's friends trust him to solve his own problems, but they will back him up if they see that he is in an unfair fight.
>Goofus has no friends because everyone knows that he fights dirty.
Goofus is a victim of his upbringing and environment.
Gallant's morals, his friends, were all luxuries Goofus couldn't afford. Gallant was given every opportunity to better himself and his situation, Goofus had to to take control of his life by ripping opportunity from his opponent's lifeless bodies. He's a tragic figure, cast in the role of a mad dog that needs to be put down but he never had a chance to be anything else. He'll die spitting his defiance into an uncaring world with only his greatest enemy to morn his misfortune.
Brilliant work

It all lead to this
This is just untrue, Goofus had the exact same opportunities. That is just what makes Goofus, Goofus, no matter what opportunity he is given it will always end in disaster for all involved except Goofus.
Goofus is chaos manifested in the form of a child.
I see it as both: Goofus had the same opportunities as Gallant, but Goofus himself never saw it that way. Goofus came to believe that he would only ever achieve what he wanted by taking it, and that any hardships he faced were not a result of his own actions but the result of a world that favored "good" men like Gallant, men who were born and raised to live in a way that Goofus could never understand. Faced with this, Goofus came to despise Gallant for his seemingly perfect life, and took steps to drag Gallant down to the muck where Goofus believed he belonged.
Of course, Gallant never faltered, and seething with jealousy and rage Goofus began his path towards being the tyrannical monster that we all know him to be today.
Yes
I wish I could've been there when this blessed image was created
Goofus will strike Gallant dead, but Gallant will resurrect on the third day
