This was such an epic moment. I cheered out loud when I got to this page.
A "Hans und Franz" reference? Wow, that takes me back...
Um, is this thread meant to be ironic?
Still not fitting in my friend, try to double up.
I say this completely unironic
I don't fit in many places, so instead of trying to understand I'm going to share my actual favourite page. Except it's two pages.
Always loved the pacing of this sequence.
context?
What a bitch. Reed deserves better.
Huh. This is the most believable I've seen Kamala Khan.
Been a while since I've read the arc, but if I recall:
Loki sacrificed himself to save Asgard in Ragnarok. Now usually when a Norse god dies they get reincarnated with a fresh set of memories. But Loki didn't want a reset, he wanted a new chance. So before his sacrifice he put all of his current memories into a raven named Ikol. Ikol acted as an adviser to the reborn Loki, guiding him on a path of repentance so the Asgardians could forgive him and he could get back in their good graces. And Kid Loki really did want to be better than his previous self, which everyone hated, so he really tried. And just as he was starting to turn shit around, Ikol (Old Loki) decided that was good enough and to set back his old memories in his new body, effectively killing Kid Loki and reaping the efforts of his redemption for himself.
The page is the last conversation Kid Loki had with Thor, the only Asgardian who believed in his redemption from the start while everybody else distrusted him, saying "Loki will be Loki, no matter how often he's reborn". Which is why the words "you must have faith in yourself" really hurt Kid Loki, because he knew his old self was about to effectively kill him.
