What if Aquaman was black?
What if Aquaman was black?
This one's too easy. I'll let someone else have it.
I donno bro, this seems more than just easy... this is like... participation trophy easy.
How about something original?
Yeah
Aqualad is already black There is nothing ever original in capeshit. It's all retcons and bullshits.
Would be a gay man without a father in his life like
Does Jason count as black?
Fuck no. He's German, Irish, Native American and Hawaiian.
Polynesians have had more to do with water than negroes ever will.
This is where we're at now, huh? Your water cred needs to be high enough to have water powers? We're floodgatekeeping?
No, my point is the entire Polynesian culture has generally orbited around the ocean and ocean life. From the very first explorers to the people who hold those traditions today.
Mamoa was a kino choice for Aquaman.
>is a half hawaiian half german and native american black?
The amerimutt mind is a cancer

I think pale people belong underground and underwater, while dark people belong ontop of mountains and clouds
>while dark people belong ontop of mountains and clouds
Personally I think they belong in the fields.
It doesn't work. Aquaman is shunned by what he is, not by what he looks like/skin color. Technically Atlantis was racist towards him given his father's genes being a land dweller. Furthermore, shit like this fucks with one of Black Manta's classic gags, accusing Arthur for being racist just for the mere fact that it would make Aquaman look bad in the public eye.
See this is what a lot of people don't think about when trying to pull this shit; they don't think about the implications of a race swap conflicting with years of character history. It's like with Superman; you can have a black Superman, but you can't have a black Clark Kent. Sadly people are indeed judged for their skin color, and you can't just throw in the possibility of racism and expect it to mesh well with character history.
Same. It just feels so right.
He's a biracial POC. They tend to win the diversity olympics.
He'll drown?
Yes
But there's no sunlight at the bottom of the oceans.
I wouldn't have watched the movie. Now if he was brown, I would watch the movie twice.
Didn't they do that already? I swore they got a dark-skinned guy to play him recently.
What if you was black?
You think a sea human would be white?
They'd probably be blue or some shit.
