Let's talk

Let's face it, it's happening. It's time to have the conversation. Thoughts, feelings? Expectations? I'll throw some talking points out there. This is a classic case of Sony getting too excited again. Tobey goes without saying but I'm really curious about anything Andrew has to do with this, I'm excited to see him again in what will most likely be a better story. I dread the fact that Peter's identity storyline may be brushed under the rug and given the Aunt May reveal treatment. Feige said he wanted to show "The conversation" on screen and we didn't even get a hint towards that, if anything we got the opposite. It seems to be the same thing here since this was meant to be a "Peter" centric film. I love the MCU Spidey but I'm starting to lean towards some of the criticisms he receives, not because of Tom, but because of the circumstances surrounding him. We WILL get a (Raimi) Spider-Man 4 out of this. Discuss.

>We WILL get a (Raimi) Spider-Man 4 out of this
t. delusional

I want to have this conversation with Spider-Man fans specifically.

We're pretty much never getting a "friendly neighborhood" Spider-Man ever again, are we?

best case scenario is we get garfield in the venomverse

And I get a nobel

I bet Tobey's Spiderman will be character assassinated and then killed off

If we get a second trilogy with Tom after the multiverse arc is finished, which I believe we will, then I think we can. Especially if Daredevil comes back.

If leaks are to be believed, they want Tobey to play a duel role as both Raimi Spider-Man, and also Holland's Uncle Ben.

This is the last movie where Disney and Sony are going to cooperate. After this they'll have to re-negotiate if they want to do more MCU Spider-Man movies.
While the main reason they're doing Spider-Verse is to kneecap the Flash movie, it's also a convenient way to write out Holland-Man in case talks fall through.

He's either getting killed off or another appearance in the likely Sinister Six film. Doubt he's getting character assassinated, He'll be the latest mentor.

Making Doctor Strange MCU Peter's mentor instead of the other fucking Spider-Men would be a complete waste.

Yeah it's a rehash of Into the Spider-Verse but sometimes you do something because it fucking works.

We know from the sony email leaks that Amy Pascal has been salivating over the prospect of a spider-verse movie crossover for years.

I just want Tobey to the happily married Spider Dad. Who wants to stay out of the cape life. So he can raise his daughter and plow Kirsten Dunst.

There's a lot of things that can go wrong but there's also a lot that can go right.

IMO they are sitting on something that is as big as Endgame.

Spiderman is Spiderman's uncle?

Sony/Marvel refuses to let Tom Spidey stand on his own two feet and has to lean him against other characters. First it was Tony and now it's previous Spider-Men. I guess he's in it for the long haul so EVENTUALLY he might get a real "solo" movie, but that's the sort of thing you're supposed to do early on and THEN go nuts with crossovers.

This is happening way too soon. Far From Home's setup was Peter Parker's identity is revealed to the world. There are so many places you can take that story, and Kraven and/or Scorpion could have easily fit the villain roles. But now we got a film that's purely being made because of fan demands. This isn't a film that should be happening now, but the film after a Peter Parker on the run film.
And even then, what we're about to get is a disaster of a film that's only worth it for people who have nostalgia for the other two franchises. Fucking dead characters like Doc Ock and Gwen are coming back in this film which means it's fanfiction at this point. And even when you have all three in the film at the same time, what are the characteristics that make the three of them so different that their interactions will be worth it? This isn't Raimi's Spider-Man and Web's Spider-Man meeting Watt's Spider-man. This is Watt's interpretation of Raimi's and Web's Spider-Men interacting with his version of Spider-Man, and thus they'll always try to turn everything into a joke.
And god help us when they bring up the Spider-Man 3 dance.

Next MCU Spider-Man film will likely have Miles and Spider-Gwen in it at this rate.

It's Spiderman 3 all over again.

Fan demand for Venom ruined that movie, and fanservice here could have the same effect.

At the rate we're going, I fully expect Screwball to be the main antagonist of a Spider-Man film.

>Yeah it's a rehash of Into the Spider-Verse but sometimes you do something because it fucking works.
>>MCU Peter steals Ganke
>>MCU Peter steals the prestige school
>>MCU Peter steals Miles' arc from Spider-Verse
That's kind of amazing.

>the year is 2021
>it's december
>spider-man 3 comes out
>there's no spider-verse

this is exactly how it's gonna play out bros i'm screenshotting this now

It's retarded to blame "the fans" for stupid executive decisions. Blame the people in power, not the ones outside of it.

>Expectations?
Zero!
There will be almost 10 men, heroes and villains, a lot of testosterone, the balance would be to have Spider-Woman doing a cameo together with Black cat and these Spider-man movies are always for the male audience, it's time to call women to the theater, but as everyone has seen the cast has already been closed so we will not have them in this film
ugh same characters as always, no thanks

>I love the MCU Spidey but I'm starting to lean towards some of the criticisms he receives, not because of Tom, but because of the circumstances surrounding him.
Shit taste OP, Iron Boy was the worst thing to happen to the character in recent times.

Honestly, I think this is a film everyone is going to go crazy for cause of all the cameos, but when they rewatch it, they realize it's a really flimsy movie. To be honest, because we know all these casting rumors, the surprises are probably going to be non-existent.

I mean, unless they go full on meme and bring back "HE STOLE THAT GUYS PIZZA!" and "Rent?"

The idea of all Spider-Men meeting was a fan pipe dream for a while which they're following through on.

A KINO MIX OF THESE 4 INCOMING.

The man is 45. I doubt he wants to be in a spider suit any longer than necessary.

>stars in 2 multiverses simultaneously
how does he do it?

God, Amazing Spiderman main theme is so shit hahahaha

I'm pretty surprised they are bothering to include the Spider-man that only had two movies and both of them were bad

Some people got attached to those movies. It makes sense.. also more spidermen means more money

I can’t wait. I hope Toby keeps the Organic web shooters, it’s far better than the stupid ass mechanical ones.

>fan demands
Woah now slow down. This has nothing to do with what the fans want and everything to do with Sony and Amy Pascal. They've been trying to force a Spider-man crossover film since the Amazing days, with Pascal specifically wanting the Sinister Six and a Tobey Vs Andrew film. Keep in mind that they still get script approval and a large amount of control over the projects in exchange for Marvel being able to use the character in the MCU at all.

I'm afraid of them adding Doc Ock because I don't want anything to tarnish Spider-Man .

yeah it means paying another actor, not making more on the movie

My primary hopes right now...

> They don't demonize or make a joke out of the Garfield version.

> Garfield uses his ASM1 outfit so they all have completely distinct suits. Fuck ASM2 for returning to the Rami suit like cowardly bitches.

Naw son, this has been something I've seen online ever since Homecoming. People were asking for "Dr. Strange accidentally opens two portals and all three Spider-Men meet up" since before Infinity Wars. I've seen this on youtube to Tumblr to twitter. Fans are apeshit to jerk off to all three Spider-Men meeting.

I don't care and I'm not watching it any more capeshit but as long as it makes DC fags seethe I'm all in, and so far it has succeeded

Marvel doesn't have the creativity to do that. They're just going to shit out the 60's Spider-man cartoon theme.
