Star vs the Forces of Evil

Was this the worst ending of any cartoon ever?

Voltron was worse

The worse part is that the crew don't give a fuck

Idk did the main hero of Voltron commit mass genocide by the end?

Probablly they wanted to cash in by making quick SU rip-off.

Voltron

What happened in the end of Voltron?

Yes, she literally unironically genocide an entire sapient species including several infants.

Some bitch sacrifices herself without any foreshadowing beforehand.

Also Zig Forums didn't like the gay marriage in the end credits.

and on top of that she nonconsensually merged two worlds together without even factoring how two completely different species of people will react to their entire reality being altered out of butt-fucking-nowhere

Sounds like the average MCU/Marvel event ending.

> unironically genocide an entire sapient species including several infants.
For the glory of the Emperor purge the xeno scum

If they didn't want to be genocided they should have considered not centralizing their entire life force around one area completely at the mercy of one royal family. You should also consider that "magic" creatures are very loosely defined here, since literal flying horse heads seem to not be magic, demons aren't magic either, nor are the invincible lizards. Honestly probably the vast majority of the multiverse was left unharmed by the initial destruction, the real harm comes from the portals being gone, I'm sure there had to be a couple universe entirely reliant of trade and travel.

it should've been clearer who was affected by it. everyone is screaming "GENOCIDE" when it's probably just the spells and the royal high commission that are gone.
what they should really be majorly screaming about is the cleaved part.

Was that the one with the gay wedding?
God, why do modern anime-style western shows get their fandoms flooded with activist queers?

None of that excuse genocide, and no they had no way to avoid this scenario nor is their fault that Star invaded their realm and destroyed their source of life.

>what they should really be majorly screaming about is the cleaved part.
That part I can honestly overlook, I understand that in real life it would immediately devolve into a war with humanity using superior weaponry to slaughter the invaders, but it's a cartoon so I can accept the "it'll take some getting used to, but everyone will live happily every after" plot contrivances.

Cleaved part was the writers trying and failing to mix the tone of the first season with the more grounded one from season 4 and ended up just being a fucked up situation being pushed as funny.

Spells, Magic Unicorn Race, Magic beings such as the Comission, more than enough to be counted as a genocide.

>It was bad because my specific fujo ship didn't happen and he went with another gay waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Thank god that fucking show is forgotten

Mina got it worst of all.
Also if you wanted a regicidal sequel, she’s your girl for that.

If there was a button in space that would kill all humanity if someone pushed it and left it guarded by a horse, I wouldn't be mad at whoever eventually pushed it, because let's be real it would have happened at some point, I'd be furious with whatever dipshit thought that it was a good idea to put it there in the first place. Which actually makes me think, was there ever an explanation for why the magic realm could be destroyed by the royal family at all? Maybe I just misinterpreted something, by why exactly was the Butterfly family given so much power?

They were gonna die out anyway, painfully too. Star did them a favor.

It was honestly meh, the last two seasons were terrible so nobody was expecting a great ending, I think the problem people have is that a lot of things were left vague (leaving things up for interpretation which includes the trannies who keep screaming about a magic genocide) and I feel like they were setting the table for some sort of epilogue or bigger finale movie but ran out of time/Disney flat out denied them.

In the AMA after the show Nefcy seemed a little bitter, like she really didn't want anything to do with the show anymore, and she's not really done anything related to it since.

Not really, magic could be purified once more.

I didn’t get that vibe, it more like she was sorry for not meeting expectations. As for not done anything related to it, she works at Nickelodeon but occasionally reposts fanart in between shilling for eco-terrorism.

There's no clear indication that she actually did that.

Not like magic could stop Mina and pals.

Not even strictly purified, I mean, it had to have come from somewhere so who's to say it isn't just a universal constant that can never be fully destroyed?

STAR IS CUTE
that is why I like the ending to this show

I was thinking the Allura ass pull

the worst part is they think it's good and want people head canon what happens next.

>she works at Nickelodeon
she got fired from disney? or was it just contract work?

She never said her reason for going over to Nick. Seems like a downgrade honestly. I wonder if the suits at Disney got pissed at Nefcy for killing their goose

I heard that she wanted to take on thanos with stars genocide, that's why they had to let her go

the worst ending of any cartoon are shows from the 60s, 70s, and 80s that were just unceremoniously cancelled and ended on completely normal one-off episode
