There was nothing to ruin about She-ra,the original series was hot garbage tier

Honestly, Voltron
She-Ra ended with a climax fans enjoyed and now the IP is alive again
Voltron ended on a whimper and the IP is back to where it started
That said, no Mantannae and no Mantisaur means no watch

>Implying She-ra was about the show
It's all about that toy line which when combined with MOTU has one of the biggest toy followings

Voltron, at least some people liked She-Ra, Voltron got shitted on so hard

>She-Ra ended with a climax fans enjoyed and now the IP is alive again
Yeah that's why Mattel is burring this reboot like it never existed

Neither.
Mattel is outright ignoring Nu-Ra like it never happened so it did a piss poor job at reviving the IP. Voltron didn't do any damage to the IP because it was never alive to begin with and most people who watched TLD never cared to begin with so their stint with the franchise ended with that.

if I ever got the chance to do the next reboot to voltron the first thing I would do is have shiro die and have his girl friend be morning him just to fuck with the shipping fags

Depends on your definition of “ruined.” VLD was the worse show by the end, no contest, but because it was such a mess, they have an easy scapegoat to brush it under the rug and pretend it never happened whenever the next iteration of the franchise begins. Whether or not She-Ra will be able to move on from this show or forever be expected to represent the characters and world in the same way is less certain, and if you hated the way this show did that, it may ultimately be the bigger derailment in the long-term.

The people who watched Nu-Ra were never fans of the original to begin with. 40 year old Facebook moms and cat ladies don't want to watch SJW Nu-Ra cringe, so, no, the fans didn't enjoy the show.

The people who watched the show are the Tumblrina woke crowd who only likes the show for its wokeness.

I can't wait for this trend to fuck off, though I don't think it will anytime soon.

I'll never understand the voltronegativity. Aside from a tiny bit of mandatory forced gay in the epilogue which you can just skip, it was fantastic. It gave us delicious and perfect Pidge, thereby making the show significantly less gay than the original.

She-ra was basically an animated advertisement for mattel toys back in the day. New She-Ra didn't really kill the brand, but it didn't really do much either except give it a little bit more publicity. New voltron basically gave the IP a big fat nuke.

And yet it succeeded in being complete garbage that makes the original look better.

>that makes the original look better.
user, I hated the netflix version too. But there is no need to lie.
They were both bad but for different reasons.

Castlevania

I really wonder how much Pidge not being genderbent would’ve changed things. They wouldn’t have dared to kill off the only girl on the team, that’s for sure. Shipping politics probably would’ve been even more chaotic with another twink thrown into the mix as well.

This, now the fanbase is full of normalfags, discussion is ruined and Konami hasn't even banked on the show's popularity to make a new game

>I'll never understand the voltronegativity.
Its literally just butthurt fujos. TLD gave the franchise the most notoriety its ever gotten so to say it killed it is hysterical because its only second to MLP as the most successful reboot to an 80's property and I'm not sure how it killed the franchise either since last time I checked it wasn't a failure like Nu-Ra.

>VLD was the worse show by the end, no contest
Yeah no

>Whether or not She-Ra will be able to move on from this show
They're already distancing themselves from this mess with the upcoming MOTU series

I thought Voltron was really well received, except by angry tumblerites who were mad that the gay one wasn't straight up sucking dick every twenty minutes the moment it was revealed he was gay?

There's nothing to ruin about either of them. Voltron was a fucking sausage made out of ground up anime and She-Ra never had any more thought put into it than "He-Man but a girl"

I liked it. Season 2 has too much political bickering and mastabatory bdsm storylines though.

The general reception for the show got worse and worse after season 4, and by the time the show ended, virtually nobody wanted anything to do with it. Basically what happened to GoT, but on a smaller scale.

The fetish shit was 3, S2 only had the boring politics while the heroes sat around in a library

Depends, really.
From the perspective of the fanbase, She-Ra ended fairly well. On the other hand, Voltron effectively burned every last bit of goodwill it had left over the last three seasons.
I don't know too much about the merchanidsing situation with She-Ra. but VLD was a failure from the get-go: the mecha toy line, the comics, the video game... none of it was even remotely successful.

I don't remember knowing anyone who watched Voltron growing up but I know lots of people familiar with MotU/She-Ra so it feels like there was more there to ruin than with Voltron. But both franchises now have a fanbase of intolerant angry queer people who will bully anyone who re-reboots either franchise. They will insist on the characters queered by the last reboot stay queer, etc. So sadly both franchises are pretty much doomed to be virtue signaling garbage if they ever so come back.

>They will insist on the characters queered by the last reboot stay queer, etc. So sadly both franchises are pretty much doomed to be virtue signaling garbage if they ever so come back.
Voltron at least has a decent escape strategy from the queer demands in that the only gays, IIRC, were the two Lotor general OCs who’d be easy to leave out and the guy who’s *supposed* to die immediately, which would be “bury your gays” and whatnot.

Shiro was a homo too

Yeah, the guy who’s supposed to die immediately.

user Konami literally makes more money with Pachinko machines. They're never making videogames again. You played yourself expecting it to happen. Yes normalfags dominating the discussion isn't always fun but at least some of them start playing SOTN and Curse of Darkness the latter of which was literally doa when it first came out and thanks to the show people are actually even talking about it in the first place.

fujos flocked to a boring show didnt get the ship they wanted and then cried because without pretending they are going to have their yaoi the show is actually boring

That depends, how terrified of gay people are you?

He ended up being the most popular character in VLD so I wouldn't be surprised if new versions followed suit and kept him alive

>it's another OP pretends anyone over the age of 30 gave a shit about She-Ra or Voltron before their reboots came out thread

How terrified am I? I refuse to touch my dick because that would be homosexual.

I hope not. You really don’t need him AND a version of Keith that isn’t an edgy emo, and I doubt Keith’s going anywhere. If anything the lesson that should be taken was not enough people resonated with the Gurren Lagann angle and Keith should just be a capable and mature leader to begin with, as it always was.
