Hunger is a great story. It is older bit I like it a lot.

Si Spurrier's recent run that just ended. Holy fuck was it great, and the best Constantine since Delano's original launch of the series.

as for other media, I'd recommend the Matt Ryan NBC series, you have to watch the first episode to get it but it sucks and they make a hard change after that so it can be jarring. But once you get 3 episodes in it adjusts to a very solid show. For the cartoons, the CW did an adult series that was fairly decent, again with Matt Ryan doing the voice acting because he's pretty spot on.

Delano original run, Garth Ennis (both runs, but family man storyline if just picking a story) and si spurrier's short lived series.

The TV show was decent enough.

Avoid justice League dark and basically any non vertigo series featuring him.

Justice League Dark got A LOT better with Ram V writing, although I still find Constantine a big weird there. He gave him a great out at the end though and actually made Zatanna the star. The Tynion shit was terrible though. Other than that, I totally agree, Constantine heckblazer in new 52 was fucking terrible, only worse book for him in Tom Taylor's current book

I liked it too. This new arc isnt so bad either, I like where its going.

But you're not saying anything about why it's good, just dismissing all of Hellblazer by Ennis or Carey and saying THIS is the good one. It just doesn't seem genuine.

I stopped reading after Milligan.
I don't know why I thought the man who couldn't write vertigo Constantine could write him as a cape.

Which is a shame because Milligan is one of my favourite writers.

ok, let me lay it out for you. He captures the rugged John in Britain, the down and out magical bullshiter that John is. He doesn't ACTUALLY want to help the world but he keeps being roped in and sometimes a sop story makes him not able to help himself. But above everything, Spurrier makes sure that he is a con artist first and a magician second.

Also it's the tone of the stories, he deals with real world shit, even what that real world is magical it refers to what is real in the world.

But after that, Lemire was actually painful to read.

I can’t see that picture without thinking of a small comic book reviewer YouTuber back in the days. He went crazy when he became a militant atheist. His last comic review was the Lovecraftian Batman mini-series co-made during a Livestream. He got upset not for the comic saying Batman and Cthulhu were evenly matched. But the story had biblical references. He went on bizarre rant about how there were zero Christians or barely any white people that fought Nazi during world war 2 unlike atheistic Soviet Union and the UK. The other guy slowly left the stream. He was also married and divorced less than a year and became a male feminist. He use to be a member of geekvolution channel but he disappeared from there too
