Branding matters more, and to 99% of the population Doctor Victor Von Doom is just an evil European royal scientist sorcerer. The F4 will be multicultural and Doom will be a stand-in for the “rising dangers of fascism” or some shit.

You'd think they'd learn from the last time around that it's a bad idea to raceswap, but I'm am not optimistic. It will probably be worse this time. Probably only one of them will be white now at most.

Problem is, he has a ton of fans, and Twitter will latch onto one comic where he's drawn one shade darker than usual. They don't want a whitewashing controversy, and whitewashing is always the first card people play.

My guess is that he'll be vaguely brown and evil, but not nearly as evil as he is in the comics. He'll overthrow a white man to take over Latveria and they'll focus on how he's a better ruler than him (even though Doom is still terrible.) Then Doom will join the FF's side to fight against a white villain, like Galactus.

If you look back at the Spidey past films, you start to see a trend. The Raimi Spider-Man trilogy is known by most fans as "the Raimi trilogy." The Marc Webb films are just called "ASM". And the Disney films are just called by their respective movie titles. What does this say? It says that the franchise has seen a diminishing role for its directors. Up until today, I couldn't even tell you who directed the MCU spidey films. It's all just assembly line bullshit at this point.

And yet they make a ton of money and review well. Really makes you think.
