Short summary, Texas and around 17 or so other states are filing a lawsuit against the battleground states because most of them pushed through voter-based legislation without using the proper channels of their own state governments ( this is a bipartisan issue as some states like georgia did this were republican )

They're calling it unconstitutional because it basically means the four battleground states can basically circumvent the electoral process and effectively push through whatever votes they want and thus disenfranchise the entire voting process.

What is also being cited is that during crooked elections done in other countries ( namely russia ) quickly changing the local vote legislation is done often.

This case is being given to the supreme court as effectively it's some states accusing other states of breaking the constitution in order to push their own legislation agenda without proper proceedings.

tl:dr: States are calling out other states on dodgy legislation passing.
