An overworked father turns to porn and after awhile he starts molesting his daughter Lisa, then he got the neighbor to join and he gave Lisa herpes. I’ve met Chick tier Christians actually. At my college, there’s one Christian fraternity that the other Christian fraternities low key call a cult because everyone in it acts the exact same. Actually would hand out Chick tracts and stuff. A lot of them are nice people but holy fuck they get crazy. I went to one of their sermons and they started bowing on the ground, tearing up during hymns, et cetera.
It makes me wonder how Chick’s childhood/adolescence was because pretty much all of them had their “coming to Jesus” stories involving being depressed wrecks who hated themselves before conversion.
It also makes me wonder what Chick was like IRL, because despite the similar moral compass a lot of them were ridiculously nice, when it came to me, an agnostic with a drinking problem at the time, it was constant kindness and telling me Jesus already loved and forgave me and was willing to help me through. Occasionally they’d actually get teary eyed talking about it
