Wow, never expected that there would be that much of a difference

It’s a decent salary Dutch companies are fairly cheap on the upper end and our tax rates make higher salaries really difficult most people tend to instead negotiate for more time off

So for example I actually only work 4 days a week. All the tech companies moving to Amsterdam have been pushing up salaries thank God

Telecommunication engineer
50 000 Euros per year

Is this after tax? Otherwise it sounds like you're starving in Norway

>$280/month

I work part time as a computer technician while studying mechanical engineering at uni
I earn like 1200€ a month, live with my parents

No, that's before taxes. We don't earn the same amount of money as Germans. In fact, we have a huge public sectors tha needs to be fed. 33% - 40% (depending on the statistics) of Norwegians work in the public sector. Compared to 10% in Germany. An high school teacher earn also almost the same as an engineer here in Norway. The only profitbale industries we have are oil and fish, this country is fucking doomed in the future. Working hard in Norway is rarely rewarded. This country is doomed in 40-50 years. To be honest, I have been thinking about moving to Germany at one point because of the salary, but I barely speak German.

Are you able to survive for that amount of money? What is the rent price in a bigger city in Russia?

So you are a microelectronics guy? How is your work day like?

Poor country. You will earn decent amount of money only if you live in Moscow or Petersburg. Average wage in my city is ~300$

Muscovites stole all the money of Russia unironically.
Yes, I have about 1800 usd in a stash from unspent money last year. It turns out I do not spend half what I get.
> the rent price in a bigger city
I don’t know, I live with my parents (they have a big apartment, where even taking into account me, 1 bedroom remains free). Plus I have my own small apartment in the property in which I gradually fixing up and decorate.

Yeah I help to design analog parts of ASICs (as opposed to digital parts). I calculate initial parameters of a system and estimates of device sizes/component values, then simulate the system with a computer to refine the design

How do you calcualte the parameters? Do you do it by hand? I would assume you do it by Matlab. What kind of program do you simulate it in?

No job
No but I wouldn't like any job
0 euros, the unemployment gibs ended

Studying forever and having my parents pay for it is my job
